How to Adjust User Access to Specific Lists

Jorge Fuentes from Sidekick Strategies shows how to set lists as private in HubSpot so only super admins or selected users can edit them. This feature is available on enterprise plans.
Hey Hub heroes. This is Jorge Fuentes from the Sidekick Strategies team. And today we're going to take a look at how to easily and very quickly manage access to a specific list in the list section of HubSpot. Check it out.
Once we're inside HubSpot, I'm going to go on the left hand side to where we have our CRM icon here. And then I'm going to go to Lists and then in the list section I'm just going to go and choose the list that I believe should not be modified by anybody. At least anybody that's not a super admin within my team. So what I'm going going to do is just select for example the email equals known list. I don't want anybody to mess with that one or change my filtering criteria because maybe I'm accountable for that particular list. And so to make my job easier, I just want to exclude anybody that is in a super admin in the portal from being able to editing it, right? So I'm just going to select it and then you're going to see a new icon right here that says Manage Access. I'm just going to select Manage Access right here and then I'm just going to set it as private. So in this case what's going to happen is that only I and any super admin from my portal is going to be able to edit the list and also do know that I can also select everyone that can view and edit it. That's the default. Or I could select specific users, right? Whether that's a team, right, the sales team, or whether that's some specific user within my portal search. In this case as George, I could select him for having access there. But right now I'm just going to set it as private. So that means only myself and any super admin will be able to edit this list. So I'm just going to select Private and then click on save and that will keep my list safe from being modified by anybody that's not a super admin or that you know is not supposed to modify the list.
And that's pretty much it. So now you can control the access that a user from your HubSpot can have two very specific lists or at the list level within the list section of HubSpot. And remember that this is only a feature available in enterprise plans. Remember education is great, but the execution is where it's at. So go out there and be the hub hero that your organization needs today.
