The speaker explains onboarding processes and tools used to instill these values in new hires.
Two hours per week documenting work. How do you get people to do that? Two hours is an average. Some people it's five, some people it's half an hour if that. And we're pushing to do more. We really set the precedent early. From the start, when you're onboarding at Galactic Fed, you're given like a really long, fun sci fi themed onboarding doc explaining our culture in a fun way. And then from within that we also have a sort of scorecard doc and ClickUp workspaces and such that the folks go through that explain all the different ways to do things and those may link out to other Google Docs that they need to read or other areas they need to look into, maybe Google sheets they need to review. It shows from the start that this is the way we do things. And I think that we really hire folks from the start who we believe can have this sort of self starter, written, communication led type of work ethic. At the end of the day, the most important thing we do obviously is driving good results for clients. And I find that the less time we spend on needless bureaucracy, the more time we can spend helping clients do a really good job and getting really good results for them.
