How to connect LinkedIn to HubSpot | CRM Integration

This is a YouTube video titled "How to connect LinkedIn to HubSpot | CRM Integration" created in November 2024. It features a single speaker named Miles who provides a step-by-step tutorial on installing the Surf Chrome extension, connecting it to HubSpot, configuring property mappings, and syncing LinkedIn contact data into HubSpot to boost productivity.
Hey there, Miles here. Welcome to Surf. Follow me and the simple steps to get you started and boost your productivity. So the first thing you're going to do is to install the Surf extension from the Chrome Web Store. You can see me searching for Surf, it's the first option. And you will click Add to Chrome Add Extension and let the magic happen. Surf is now installing and it will give you the option to choose your CRM, in this case HubSpot. So you're ready to connect surf to HubSpot, but you first need to make sure that your HubSpot Global admin has provided you with the necessary permissions. But once you've been given the right permissions, go ahead, click on HubSpot, confirm the HubSpot account you want to connect to provide the correct approval. Simple things. Now, the connection has been made and Surf will automatically open up LinkedIn and show you the surf overlay on top of the LinkedIn profile. Okay, so now that you've connected surf to HubSpot, you want to be making sure the data that you need is being pushed into your HubSpot account. How do we do that? First of all, your surf admin needs to ensure that they've configured the Properties mapping settings and they can find those Properties mapping settings by either clicking on this Surf icon here to enter the Dashboard or clicking on the Surf extension button to open up the Surf side panel and clicking on the Dashboard button right at the bottom. From the Dashboard, you will click on Properties Mapping, and here is where you can see and map your contact properties or company properties. We'll do contact properties for now, and what you'll be doing is mapping the LinkedIn information from the left hand column into your HubSpot fields, which are shown within the right hand column. So some important properties to map are the email address, job title, phone number and mobile phone number, as well as the most important property, the LinkedIn URL, as this helps to power a lot of the Surf features you'll be using. If you really want mobile numbers though, let's map the mobile phone field to our equivalent mobile phone field within HubSpot. So now that we've configured the settings, let's see Surf in action. What I'll do is I'll navigate back to LinkedIn and we'll be adding Roman into HubSpot in one click. Roman's now being synced into HubSpot and we're looking for his contact details. That's done. So what I can do is we can view Roman's record that's created in HubSpot directly from LinkedIn by clicking on this button. Simple as. Now you can see Roman's profile has been enriched. You've got the contact details as well as the LinkedIn URL. Happy days.
