Jorge Fuentes walks through setting up a custom notification profile in HubSpot. The video covers configuring the profile and applying it to users or teams within the platform.
Hey Hub heroes. This is Jorge fuentes from the SidekickStrategies team. And today we're going to take a look at how to create a notification profile in HubSpot, what it is and how we can then leverage it and use it in HubSpot across different users. Check it out.
So to create a notification profile inside of HubSpot we're going to go all the way to the right. Right here in the gear icon we're going to click on that gear icon and on the left hand side I'm going to go to account defaults and I'm going to go to the tab that says Notification profiles. So here's what I'm to create a notification profile. I'm going to first name this and I'm going to call it email only. And then we're going to turn off all of these other channels and I only want email to be the notification channel. By the way, do know that you can also edit and expand all of these different items, right? So for example, if you want a specific section of HubSpot to send notifications to users, right? Only via email, you can do that right here in this case is the email because I've toggled everything, everything else off, but that's pretty much it. So I'm actually just going to save it. On the right hand side right here I'm going to save this notification profile. I'm going to create it and then we can now use that particular notification profile inside our presets. So remember, in order to add that we would go to users and teams. We'd have to go to the presets tab on the right hand side. Presets. And then I would create a preset, right. I'm going to call this the main preset, right? And I could configure it. As you know, my default homepage could be the contact record view. I could say that my default dashboard is going to be website analytics. English is going to be my language. Then date and format. I'm going to say United States right there. And then I could say, you know, email signature. I could turn it on or off. I'll leave it off for now. And then the Notifications tab is where I'm going to choose my newly created notification profile which is email only. And then here is where I can see that that has been brought here. And then I'll go to the users and teams tab right here so that this preset will apply to whichever teammate that I choose. Right? In this case I'm going to choose myself right here. And then I'm going to say save preset. And then I'm going to just save it for the moment. I don't want to send an email to users for these updates just yet. And I'm going to just save it now. And that's pretty much it.
And that's pretty much it. So that's how you will configure your own notifications profile, which you can then add into a preset, and then via the preset, you can apply to your own user within your HubSpot portal, or a set of users, or also a team within HubSpot. Remember, education is great, but the execution is where it's at. So go out there and be the home hero that your organization needs today.
