Learn how to unlock hidden developer features in HubSpot's CMS page editor. Enable developer mode to copy code snippets and access the Design Manager for editing modules directly.
Hey there, developers and marketers dangerous enough to edit code. I want to show you a couple of somewhat hidden features. As you can see, we're editing a page in CMS Home. I'm going to add a query parameter to the URL Developer equals real, then hit Enter. You'll notice that this top bar changes colors and it also makes an exit developer mode button appear. Basically what it's doing is it tells the page editor, hey, I'm a developer. I'm ready to live dangerously. As you might have noticed, that also does a couple of other things. So say that you are making a custom coded section and you'd like to start off by using the page editor to scaffold out what you'd like that to actually look like. Well, you can do that. You can actually build out your section. We have one right here. You can click on the dropdown here and you can do copy as Hubble. And then you can just paste it right into your code editor or into the Design Manager. There's one more quick little feature I want to show you. So if you click on a module and you're like, hey, this module doesn't look right, I need to dig into the code. Well, now, if you haven't noticed it yet, there's actually an open InDesign manager link that takes you directly to the module in the Design Manager. It's over in the bottom left here. There we go.
