This is a YouTube video titled "How to Set Up Task Management Structures in SmartSuite" containing a tutorial-style presentation from April 15, 2023. The speaker explains how to use a SmartSuite template called Task Manager to organize tasks, including modifying the template, editing the solution guide, and managing permissions. The content is instructional and focused on task management setup.
Now we need to add our task management structure on a very basic level. To make this happen, we are going to use a SmartSuite template as our jumping off point from the Add a new solution button. We're going to start with the template called Task Manager. You have several views here that help you organize your tasks by different criteria. If you're just looking to get basic tasks organized, this is going to get the job done. First thing I want to do is do the baseline template modifications. Starting at the top we we want to review the core information we always want to check. So I'm going to rename this area Capacity Defense. Below that we have Solution, color and icon. Below that we have our Solution guide. The solution guide is going to tell you how to set up the template. I'm going to suggest we edit this guide and then replace it with our own best practices. Below that we have permissions. Change the solution permissions just for now. Restricting things by only teams, certain members or advanced permissions. We can pretty much hold off for now and skip these remaining sections. However, once we are done, we are going to want to delete this demo data, but we can pass on that for now.
