This is a YouTube video titled "How to Write a Competitor Analysis Report in SmartSuite 🔎 Part 1" created in July 2023. The content is a monologue or presentation explaining how to upgrade from using spreadsheets for competitive analysis to using a work management software database for better tracking and actionable insights.
If you're someone who's still doing competitive analysis in a spreadsheet like I was, it might be time for an upgrade. Inside your work management software of choice, you can create your own database to track competitors, key features for how you stack up, and the overall market sectors that concern you most. This will allow you to break down the key things that matter to you most, open them inside one structured database, and track how well you measure up in each category in one dynamic area. Plus, when you connect this back to action items that you can assign and date, you can make sure you're actually using the information from your competitive analysis, rather than just tracking it in a spreadsheet and then letting it collect dust.
