HubDB now has a beta preview editor that lets you edit table rows through a form interface and see live updates on dynamic pages. The speaker walks through how it works and asks users to test it out and share feedback.
Hey, friends. It's not often I talk about things like HubDB because design stuff scares me. But this update is cool enough I had to give it a try. So let's hop right in here. I am on a Hub DB table I put together. This is a list of books and typically when you manage content in Hub db, so you can make dynamic pages and things, you manage it in a table view like this, and you can add rows to the bottom and you can edit things in line. But look. Look what we've added here. This is now in beta. You don't need to opt into it, it'll just appear. But if you go to the the ID area and hit this dropdown, there's an edit button and clicking that takes you to this, which would look way cooler if I knew anything about design. But what we're seeing here, this is now all that, that table information for this row in a form. And on the right here, we're seeing how it appears in this dynamic page I've created called Dynamic Stuff. Now, I've put obviously zero design effort and expertise into this, so we're just displaying the book title. But. But what you would see if you did this because you're better at this stuff than I am, you would see the full page here with all of its design and all of its elements. And as you edited these things on the side, you would be able to see how they looked and you would be able to preview anything in the table to see how they would be displayed in any of your dynamic pages. This is now available for those of you who are using Hub db. Check it out, Let me know what you think and let me know if you have any questions.
