Wake up. The platform's waiting for you. Wake up. Wake up. See what your system can do.
Good morning, HubSpot Nation. It is time to Wake up, Customer Platform with your unofficial HubSpot updates morning show where we help you discover the platform value you already own.
Chris.
I'm Chris Carolyn, joined by my co hosts Casey Hawkins and George B. Thomas. We are here every weekday morning to make sure you're not sleeping on HubSpot's true capabilities. If you're joining live, drop a hello in the comments and let us know what you're building in HubSpot today. It is Monday, October 6, 2025.
Yeah.
How many times have we listened to Taylor Swift over the weekend?
This is where we're going first. Hold up. Hit the brakes. Before we talk about Taylor Swift, you said something a minute ago that reminded me that I need to say something about future days ahead. You said coming to you every weekday. I will not be here next week. Before I forget to tell you, I will be on a cruise ship. Maybe they might play Taylor Swift songs on the cruise ship. I don't know. I was gonna say I won't be listening, but who knows? They might pipe it in there. But I will not be here next week. Anyway, I digress.
Now, thank you for the heads up. You're always real good about.
Oh, God.
Your monthly or quarterly planning. So I always see like way in advance when things get canceled.
Good, good.
Versus me. Who will the day before say, oh, yeah, I have to take a kid somewhere, so I'm not gonna be here tomorrow.
My kids are grown, so that's.
Yeah.
Yeah. One more thing before Casey gets into Taylor Swift, because I am curious, what percentage of hours versus sleep hours did she listen to, like the three albums of Taylor Swift that she purchased? Can I ask a question? In all the times that we've talked about customer Agent, why have we not called customer agent by the name that HubSpot is calling Customer agent? Any idea why we're not calling it Luma?
There is a name.
I've never heard this before.
Okay, so this is why I'm bringing it up. So if you go to service and you go to customer agent now, on HubSpot or in HubSpot and Chris. I'm doing this because I know that we have a plethora of updates, so. But if you share your screen in service and you go to customer agent, you'll see now that HubSpot has, first of all, a teal bar that says uses HubSpot credits. Thanks, HubSpot. But then it says, Meet Luma, your new AI powered teammate. Luma works 247 to offer your customers instant and reliable service, freeing up your team to focus on more complex tasks. And there's a see how it works button. So there's names everywhere. But customer agent is now Luma.
I've never heard the words wait, I. Hello?
Okay. She has her hand raised.
Throw my screen up.
Wow.
All right.
Casey says, give me my screen.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's what I see.
Well, so here.
Did you name it Luma?
No.
It feels like a weird name.
Here's the thing. I haven't done anything with mine. I'm being completely honest right here. So let me share my screen and when you haven't done anything, this is what you see in your portal. Go ahead and share it, Chris. There you go. Your new AI powered teammate.
I think they're ab testing something because ours looks different. Chris.
I don't know what's happening, but I find it interesting, especially since a very interesting conversation happened over the weekend between Chris and Nico and myself. And my latest article about naming a tool, which I shouldn't have used the word tool, I guess, but I named my assistant. I gave it the name Chip. I find it very interesting that I come into my HubSpot portal now and it's like, hey, meet your new bestie, Luma. Okay, I'm done here. I probably just wrecked the whole show.
Maybe I'm desperately clicking around in my portals.
I know I'm Every portal I have.
Looks because I feel like I've heard of Luma as like another company that makes agents. Yeah.
I don't know. I'm just saying.
Yeah. In my partner portal and the demo portal. Not seeing it.
So I opened up the profoundly portal too, and I didn't see it there.
Yeah. If you're out there and you're seeing what George is seeing, please let us know.
Now. Don't get me wrong, I can rename it, but it. It's saying Luma to me. I don't know why. And I've never touched this.
Yep. Well, I wouldn't be surprised if they're playing.
By the way, the reason that I'm seeing this is because I'm about to start playing. I'm just warning.
Yeah.
Anybody and everybody warning you.
Yeah.
Warning me and Luna about to mess some junk up.
All right. And Sarah always give with a little bit extra knowledge. Luma in Filipino means old, so. Well, if we say it like old, like wise, maybe then it works as an agent.
So I'm. I'm luma as dirt. There you go.
There we go. Only two updates today, so before we get in, just friendly reminders inbound. Rebound. Continuing with Content Hub on the admins hug tomorrow with a great group of people here. They've been doing some amazing things with Content Hub, video marketing, platform, Content Remix, even the new files. You know, the new digital asset management system is really exciting. So definitely check that out. If you like doing content stuff inside of HubSpot, which I hope you do, we've got the Friday helpline. This is actually last week's, but it'll be this Friday on October 10th at 2pm Central, 3pm Eastern, streaming live from the Profoundly page on LinkedIn. And then, real excited. We just kind of launched this. This morning. Nico getting another boot camp going or the first one for value first, starting October 16th. We gotta. We need some people to learn some more about. About AI. So nine sessions. Sign up for one, sign up for all of them. Really up to you. That starts on October 16th and runs up to the week before Christmas. So very excited to get that going. He's been having some fun and learning some things with the HubSpot AI Boot Camp that he's doing. So if anybody knows Nico, they know he can't get enough of sharing the knowledge. So excited to get that started.
Very nice.
Intentional dashboard editing.
Yeah, Chris, up until today, I've only done unintentional dashboard editing.
So now today's the chat.
What could this possibly mean? Wrong answers only.
I have no clue. My goodness.
What the. What? What is it? You can now edit dashboards with clearer controls and visual confirmation when changes are saved, reducing accidental modifications and improving confidence when managing your reports.
Am I the only one saying, oops, I did it again. Okay, probably just me. Go ahead, Casey. Why does it matter?
Why does it matter? Dashboard editing is now more intuitive and less error prone. You can reorganize your dashboard without worrying about unintended changes, with immediate flexibility into what's been saved. This update establishes the foundation for upcoming enhancements like undo capabilities and draft mode.
Huh.
So it's mostly.
Yeah, rapid fire. What are some other words we could use instead of intentional? Anybody? Easier. I don't know, clear like intuitive dashboard editing.
It seems like more. It's just like it confirms that you're saving because usually when you change it, when you move stuff around on a dashboard, it does save, but it doesn't like say save. So I it. It feels like a lot of this is more just like maybe this is.
They often have improved as a word here, like that's probably more. More appropriate.
They just got it. Tired of saying improved.
Yeah. I'm guessing like what's the opposite of accidental? That's what we're trying to do here. Okay. Intentional. Either way, we love the updates. Thank you for making that stuff clear and easier. HubSpot Team yeah the legacy Scoring drama continues with sunsetting Legacy Scoring Property Update what is it? We announced that Legacy Scoring Report properties would stop updating starting August 31, 2025. By now October 3, 2025, all legacy score properties have stopped updating. All customers that were using legacy scoring properties can create new scores with the Lead scoring and health scoring apps. And if you don't know what those are, please drop a message to Casey because she might be able to help you with the thing or two. There you got Lead scoring which is in the Marketing navigation helps you use fit and engagement insights to score and prioritize your leads. Marketing Professional Enterprise customers can create contact and company scores. Sales professional and Enterprise customers can create deal and company scores for health scoring in the Customer Success workspace. It helps you measure customer sentiment and prioritize which customers focus on Service Professional and enterprise customers can create scores for the object that represents their customers. This has been a really powerful thing in the Customer Success workspace, being able to use custom objects or the services object to represent customers. Got a nice guide and demo video here on how to migrate the new scoring tools.
I was hoping I clicked the button with the naive hope that it just linked to Value first website. Like what it does it everyone not.
Quite working on that partnership?
We're working on that part still.
Or not. We're not actually.
Why does it matter? Your legacy scoring properties are no longer updating with new data, which means your scoring insights using these properties are now outdated. The transition to the new tools are necessary because the legacy scoring properties lacked essential features and are no longer supported by HubSpot platform updates. The new Lead scoring and health scoring tools offer enhanced functionality that better aligns with how modern businesses qualify prospects and nurture customer relationships, including features like actionable insights, decay resets and scalable rules that weren't available in legacy scoring. The new scoring tools are Much more robust and prioritize actions versus the old scoring tools. Prioritized properties. And we all know that actions speak. Actions speak louder than properties, as the saying goes.
Oh, man.
Gonna trademark that in a moment.
Yeah, I mean, that's not bad, actually.
Yeah, I know. I'm actually kind of mad at.
Just like, it's growing on me. George, if you're. If you're in the camp who has done nothing yet and feel like you can put this off, it's not a priority. You have until February 28, 2026, where existing legacy scoring properties, their values and their scoring rules will be removed and no longer visible in HubSpot portals.
Well, even though, like, if you think you're waiting till February, it's too late because the. The scores aren't updating. Which my understanding of what that means is that, like, anybody. That if. If you're like, sales handoff score is 100, no one's gonna get up. Like, they're not gonna change right now. Everything's just, like, stamped for all time, so.
But you will see scores. If there are scores that existed before August, right?
Correct. And I do also think it's often valuable to know what you were previously scoring when rebuilding your new score, because it's at least information.
Because everybody's so good at it.
Okay, I stopped myself, Chris. Obviously, I stopped myself.
I think that should be the new tagline.
It's information.
At least it's information.
User.
See, rule number one, at least.
I'm not telling you it's good information. I'm just saying it's information.
Look at it.
Oh, getting philosophical now. It's not really good or bad. It's whatever you decide to. Okay. Anyways, what's going on this week?
The next time my wife looks at me and says, what am I supposed to do with that? I'm gonna be like, hey, at least it's information.
Something.
Oh, man, don't say I didn't bring something to the show today.
Well, you brought some information to the show, which is a great thing.
We all brought a little something today. I mean, you work with what you got, right? Casey, when your brand is lead scoring, I understand. This is where this is. This is where it gets to. Hey, it's information. Today. Scheduled for release. Granular deployment controls for sandbox to production is in development, but also scheduled for release. Not sure how that works, but yeah, if you like what's going on with the sandbox, or if you've been waiting for it to get better, definitely check in there on Wednesday. We've got conversation powered deal risks and buyer goals. Speaking of things that may or may not be better than scoring, this is one of the first things I've seen that they're starting to do outside of scoring where they are trying to leverage every conversation that holds valuable signals about deal health using that unstructured data to give you some some more information.
Just how about all of it anyway?
Conversation powered recent activities in deal insights Very related updates Target object name and security activity export account cleanup for unused pages and blog posts. Those things are dropping on Wednesday. On Thursday, October 9th we've got automatically apply checkout fees based on payment method and on Friday, October 10th we've got custom report builder or or CRB as the as the hubspotters like to call it with quick access to report settings. So looks like it's gonna be a fun week. What are you guys looking forward to this week?
I'm looking forward to this week being over and me being on a cruise ship. That's what I'm looking for.
Oh, man.
Yeah.
Dropping the gold nuggets today.
My bad. No, I'm. I'm actually. I'm looking forward to more opportunities to mess around with knowledge vaults, custom agents inside of HubSpot. I'm. I'm definitely interested in renaming what now in my portal says Luma. I must be the only one. I just. Listen, there's. There's a lot going on. Last week I. I had the pleasure of walking through like the new brand identity and very detail with. With a client, ladies and gentlemen. There's just. There's just so much good. So I'm looking to see like how much I can do in HubSpot that I once used to do with Chip, my chat GPT partner. So I'm. I'm curious to go down that road this week.
Yeah, I like it. You're muted, Casey.
I noticed before I. I only sighed before I realized.
You got all excited.
Well, I realized the kids do not have a day off or an early dismissal this week, which is the only time for the foreseeable future. That. That's true. So that is what I'm looking forward to.
There we go.
There you go.
All right. What about you, Chris?
What are you looking forward to?
I'm with you, man. Lots of. Lots of AI stuff happening. Starting to run into my weekly limits with Claude. So maybe have to continue to move some stuff over to HubSpot like I've been talking about. Yeah, but if you haven't yet, George.
I was frustrated last night I reached a Claude limit because I was trying to. Well, never mind. But limits are a real pain in the.
Yep.
All the things.
But if you haven't yet play with trying to generate some PDFs. I think those use cases are about to explode since agents can do that for you. Yeah, it's. It's fun times folks.
