Happy Monday, August 11, 2025. George, how we doing?
Wow.
Keep saying the date, man.
I know, it's crazy. You know, this year is just flying by. I'm doing good. Excited to see, you know, if, if over the next couple weeks, if HubSpot updates slow down a little bit due to Inbound coming up in, you know, just a couple of weeks, we'll be in San Francisco doing this show live a couple mornings. There is one morning, by the way, that I won't be able to make the show because I'll be on stage speaking. But there's, there's, there's that. But how are you doing, buddy?
I'm doing all right. Speaking of that agenda, I think tomorrow I'm gonna do a special road to Inbound show where I just kind of sign up for what I can when, when the doors open. Yeah, VIPs had a chance for a week now. I tried to do this last year and it got like rescheduled a couple times. Inside of the day, they're having issues with the Inbound app.
Yeah.
But we got it done in the afternoon and it was, it was a good time.
So.
Yeah, excited for that. Thinking about who would be good to invite a special guests. Maybe some, some product managers that we know and love that will be dropping bombs at. At Inbound, I think. Could be fun.
Yeah, I too am trying to figure out who to invite for the couple late night shows that we're gonna do while we're there as well. So. Time to figure all that stuff out, isn't it?
I guess so. Or it'll get figured out for us somehow.
Yeah.
All right, let's jump in. So, so excited about this one that it shows up twice on the list. Also, I, I, I. You know, I made the mistake of sharing updates from this page on Friday, so we'll. We'll head into the all section to see what I might have missed. But this is a really exciting one. Again, indicative of the connectivity that HubSpot is is going for across all of the tool set, all of the tech stack export from descript. What is it? You now have the ability to export videos directly from descript into HubSpot, streamlining your workflows across content creation and marketing distribution.
Man, why does it matter? Descript is the leading video editing platform for markers. Now you can seamlessly push your edited videos from descript to HubSpot for omnichannel distribution. You know, you gotta wonder, Chris, how did this conversation go? Did somebody at HubSpot code this and hand it to this descript? Or did somebody at descript say, hey, HubSpot, we want to do this? Like, who cares? Actually, I'm just glad it's here. All hubs and tears, by the way. Which is amazing.
Yeah.
And if you're watching this, you get to see that it might have been an internal journey as well, because Kip Bodner and screenshot here on a podcast episode.
Yeah. Him and Kieran.
Yep.
Marketing against the Grain, I believe, is their show. That's a good listen. It's exciting to see media integrated.
Yeah.
In this way. Right. And this is where like, AI is just doing so much work behind the scenes. Like the ability to move files of this magnitude right across platforms, but also not having to choose between, should we develop the video marketing platform and clippability there and editing and all this stuff, or should we support this other app?
Yeah.
That's like a part that a lot of people miss is you don't have to focus like you did in the past. You still got to find focus. But the ability to develop more things concurrently is just super powerful.
I think we used to live in a world of this or that, and we're quickly moving into a world as this and that.
Yeah.
It's a big difference.
Yes. And everywhere around you. Because I was also like, we're using for the data summit. We're using. We're checking out.
Oh, oh, Old man Moment.
Yeah.
It'S a platform.
I'm guessing it's a, it's a webinar platform. Is it Contrast? Yeah, yeah, get Contrast, the number one rated webinar app in the HubSpot App Marketplace. Oh, they're gifting us the use of their platform for that day. Super awesome of Luke and the team there. And I was telling them, I was like, hey guys, by the way, this video marketing platform exists now, so it'd be great if your on demand stuff could just, you know, just come over, right?
Yeah.
And that's where like if you got an app like that, especially one that you know, builds for HubSpot, don't be afraid to let them know like what's going on over here because they often don't. Like it's not their full time job to keep up with HubSpot.
Yeah.
And that could be just the right conversation. And now all of a sudden we have a great integration because they said it well, they said exactly how we like our apps to build the HubSpot builders. Who's to say we don't just let you do all that in HubSpot? If you want to do it in HubSpot, you don't have to come over to our platform for on demand stuff. That's the right mindset. So if you're a git contrast user, let the team know if that would be interesting for you with all these new video resources in HubSpot. Good morning Casey. Hi, welcome in.
It looks like I missed a. I missed a busy day.
Oh, we haven't hit the all like I did the Friday thing where.
You'Re entering mid technical glitch is in conversation around webinars and platforms and video.
So we're all having a morning is what I'm hearing.
Yeah. So we got a few from August 8th here that will hit automation overview AI powered recommendations in private beta expected to be released in two days. August 13th. What is it? You can now see AI powered automation suggestions based on how your team uses HubSpot directly on the Automation overview page. These recommendations help you discover impactful automations that are relevant to your portal.
This matters because it's easy for teams to miss automation opportunities hidden in their day to day activity. This addition will surface relevant high impact recommendations that are personalized to your portal allowing you to to automate faster, save time and get more value out of HubSpot.
Nice.
Nice man. Such a leap forward here. Really exciting to see this. And they're moving quick on it. Going right from private to release number two. I'M just going to say the title here and we'll move on.
Yeah.
Unsubscribe feedback survey available on preference pages. Leave it to the marketing team to game this system and figure out how to how to create visibility for them daily Daily. Oh man. Gaming. They gotta be changing something like every day.
Or if you, if you don't know what it is, if you're like listening to this for the first time or watching this first time, just go to Friday's episode, Thursday's episode.
No, we haven't talked about this since Tuesday, August 5th. It's almost been a whole week.
Wow, man.
Okay.
Almost.
Did it feel like every day?
Yes. Number three from dated August 8th this one's live send send form submissions from excluded IP and refers to Spam what is it with this update, all form submissions excluded from excluded IPs and referrers will be treated as spam and will be sent to the Spam Submissions tool. As a result, these submissions would not have any impact on the CRM data. This would ensure consistency between the CRM data and web analytics.
This matters because customers have been able to exclude website Traffic from excluded IPs and refers from their site analytics. Prior to this update, the form submissions from an excluded IP or a referrer were still collected and processed like regular submissions. This was confusing for customers as they would see the contact records created from a form submission and other CRM properties updated, but relevant automations were not triggered and none of the corresponding analytics were were available in the system.
Keeping that data consistent even though you're testing the crap out of it. Test 37 Oops, I forgot to add that to my form. Time for test 38.
Oh, number four today's insights card in public beta scheduled for release expected August 25th. What is it? The new today's insights card in Help Desk Workspace shows key trends in rep availability, ticket volume and team performance. Of note, the new card links directly to the relevant place in Service Hub. For example, an insight about an increase in tickets that didn't meet SLA might link directly to a view of those tickets, enabling leaders to take action to quickly resolve bottlenecks.
This matters because the new card gives service leaders a unified place to track key data points and monitor operational health, enabling quicker and more informed decision making and less time spent on manual data analysis. With one click, leaders can drill into the precise tickets, driving a downward trend, and take the necessary steps to support their team and improve the customer experience.
Nice. Yeah, hit that beta button. I love this idea of less time spent on Manual data analysis.
And anything we can do to help that bridge of going from insights to action. Right.
Yep.
Happy to see it.
And I think we are up to date.
Yeah, that's where we started last on Friday. Yeah.
Yeah. So look at the schedule for this week. Today we were expecting ads, AI reporting, Insights got automatic enriched data deletes. Huh. Okay, I don't remember that one. I don't remember that actually in development, but somehow scheduled for release today.
Or maybe that's not board statement too. Yeah, like, yeah, automatic deletes I think.
People would want to know about.
That's a. We're gonna build it, launch it and maybe it goes completely under the radar. Interesting.
Yeah. Tomorrow we've got public beta, email, custom properties, enhanced organization and reporting. Oh yeah, you guys have been taking advantage of that.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, we've. Yes.
Give me a use case. Give me the first use case that comes to mind.
Well, I can tell you how we're using it. We help a company that does franchisees inside of HubSpot and now we can actually tag the emails that are being sent out by different franchisees by their franchise ID number to which then we can use that property to report on franchise ID number and email sent.
Oh.
There you go. See, it's. It's useful. And plus just from an organization standpoint too, like views, think about email views versus like email folders and like different things along those lines. And plus it's the beginning of what's happening soon. Right. I mean it's becoming an. Basically becoming an object where I'm sure you'll be able to do some other things automagically based on these custom properties that you're building.
Yeah. If you're curious about all these object like things that are happening, maybe start a conversation with Copilot and ask what objects are in my portal. You might be surprised at some of the answers.
I feel like, Chris, you might have done that.
Now you get yes, yes, I have. And it's surprising me. Even there's like this sub level of objects that it starts giving you. I don't know if the team necessarily wants that to happen, but that's what's happening. So either way, it informs you in the data structure of the portal, which is how you take advantage of reporting and workflows at the end of the day. On Wednesday, we've got the send form submissions to spam that we just mentioned. We've got Salesforce app sync, new object associations for tickets, tasks and custom objects.
Interesting.
Maybe one of the most impactful Updates of the year in terms of integrated apps, multi language support for available for double opt in emails. In case you missed it, the Create Invoice API is now available publicly.
Allows you to do magic anywhere.
Huge deal. Got automation overview, AI powered recommendations. We mentioned File Manager grid overview. If you have not clicked this on, even if you have. If you're in the beta and you come over here and you don't click the like the, the Kanban style button, there's grid view I guess is what I should call it. There's a button you click like it might still be in list like form, table form. Right. So you might have to click a button. I had to do that in a couple portals but yeah making it easier to manage files all over the place.
That's like. I mean so simple but so big.
Oh yeah, yeah.
And files becoming more and more important. Yeah. For the unstructured data that Breeze can really, you know, leverage for you. You've got a sunset of email performance chart on email analyze. Yeah, that was a big deal when we started talking about it last week and then man, some big ones here. Rename HubSpot defined objects coming out of private beta and right into release. I guess.
Is that how. Yeah, is that what? I don't know.
I thought it was.
I don't know.
This works.
That's what I'm trying to say.
I thought this was already out, but I guess maybe I just thought it was out because I was part of the beta but. Interesting.
Yeah. So if you're seeing interesting names for things like contacts, companies and deals, maybe humans, accounts and opportunities like that, this is why. What else we have going on?
Can I tell you story?
Yeah.
I was on a call Friday with a new client and we got into this conversation around because they, they, they were using Salesforce. Uh, they will not be in a very short time once we finish helping them. Um, but we got on this thing of like internally they call them clients. In Salesforce they're called accounts and in HubSpot they're called companies. To which then I said well what would you like them to be called? And she said well we like calling them clients. To which I said then why don't we just name them clients? And the smile that came over the face of the human because of the flexibility to do that was. It was a great way to end my Friday to be honest with you.
Yeah.
I feel like my story is always the time we were on the call in show and I was trying, I was in the portal that you guys had renamed Humans desperately trying to find contacts.
Yeah, all portals should rename contacts to humans. No, I'm just kidding. Don't do that. Don't.
Please do it. No, he's absolutely right. Do it. Do it now.
Shoot. There will be so many people. Be like, where's my contacts?
Me included.
They're. They're humans.
And then George was like, casey, search before scroll. And Chris was like, that's not the problem.
It's not gonna work today. Looking for opportunities, not deals. Yeah, sorry about that. Yeah, no, I had to clarify for a product manager earlier today.
Yeah.
Oh, by the way, this human thing. Yeah, that's contacts.
Yeah, it. Listen, it confused our internal team at first when I changed them to humans opportunities. So they were like, wait, where'd my stuff go? Your stuff's right there. It just got adopted and has a new name.
Speaking of admin hug tomorrow.
That was seamless.
The topic is calling. We've. I think we've been pleasantly surprised at how many updates calling in general has received in HubSpot. We're actually leveraging it too, for the HubSpot helpline on Fridays at 3 Eastern from the Profoundly Channel. Doing some man again, like if you connect your phone numbers, the HubSpot and then transcripts happen and then summaries happen and they automatically get associated to the records. Wow. What your team could be doing with that extra time. Yeah, amazing. We're seeing people do some amazing things with that information already. So if you're interested, check out the hug tomorrow, 10am Central. What else we got going on today?
Chris, you and I are gonna chat at noon Eastern.
I mean, a couple minutes after that's over, we'll be doing a woman of HubSpot interview. And then I think the rest of the day is helping clients.
Helping humans.
Yeah, helping humans. A couple minutes after that's over, we'll be doing a woman of HubSpot interview. And then I think the rest of the day is helping clients.
Helping humans.
Yeah, helping humans.
Yep. I actually got an on site half day afternoon on Mondays. So before that, after Casey doing Value first measurement with Danielle Urban, and then we've got a special announcement coming from the Profoundly page. Oh, right after that, I'll be posting the event shortly, but yeah, real excited to announce. This is what I meant, George, when I said I'm going to try and do my best impression of the AI companies and just start dropping stuff every single day.
Gotcha.
See how far I get. Remember folks, you probably already own the solution you're looking for in HubSpot.
Yeah, you do.
And today it might be the Today's Insights card that's showing up in Help Desk. Sometimes you just need to wake up to it.
