HubSpot Payments Updates

HubSpot's payments tool now lets you customize payment link defaults, edit subscriptions more easily, and embed payment links directly in contacts, conversations, and forms.
Hey friends. I think the part of HubSpot that got the most updates while I was out is the payments tool and it's still us only. But I think this is really important to know about. So I'm going to get through all of it as fast as I can. Buckle up, we're going to go quick. So here I am on the payment links page, which is redesigned. That happened a while ago. If we have the settings page, there's now some payment link settings where you can set defaults for payment links. So you know, if you want your payment links to by default create deals, or if you want particular text on the checkout page or, or if there are certain discount codes you always want to be available or you know you're going to be collecting the same information across your, your payment links or whatever the case may be. You can set that all here. When you then go create a payment link, you can change all these things to customize them if you want, but the defaults will now be set to meet your needs, which I think is huge and awesome. Then if we scroll down to the payment settings here, this payouts page has gotten some love there. There are more statuses here and if we saw any failed or canceled statuses, you would be able to click into them and get details about when that payment will make it to you, which is huge. Love that. Now, perhaps the biggest thing, something we've all been waiting for a very long time, is that if we go to someone who has a subscription, this Emily person here has a subscription. You can now edit subscriptions. So if we open this subscription up, there's an actions button up here and you can edit the next payment date, you can update the payment method and. Or you can just straight up edit the subscription and change it however you need to. Previously, if you want to edit even something very small, you had to cancel the subscription and start over. Now you have these options to update it, which is huge. Something else that's super cool here on the contacts page is you can now create payment links that are specific just to this person. You can create this payment link, you can have it turn off as soon as the payment is made. It's custom just for this person. Super handy right here on the payment page. Or if you're emailing this person and you want to send them a particular payment link that already exists, you can now insert them the same way you would knowledge articles and snippets. Super cool. Same thing exists also in the Conversations inbox, which I think is so fun. So if we're chatting here with someone and we want to send them a payment link. Same option exists here. Last thing I want to show you if we go over to forms forms for a while you've been able to embed payment links in in fact if you create a form you will do a standalone one. Sure. Template there's, there's a payments template right where you continue to the payment after the form is submitted. The thing that has changed, the thing that is new now is down here you can select a payment link right but you can add additional payment links right so if you want to give the people the choice of which one they're going to pay with if give you a little radio select here they can decide which product they're going to buy. That's all the updates I've got for payments. Lot of big exciting things happening here. Let me know what you think Let me know if you have any questions.
