HubSpot Sales Deal Tags

HubSpot added automatic deal tags to categorize and filter deals on your sales board. The feature lets you tag deals by criteria like deal amount, saving time on manual sorting and helping you organize your pipeline faster.
Friends, every now and then a new feature comes out that you didn't know you wanted, but as soon as you see it, you know you can't live without it. And I think we've got that for you now on the deal board. Check this out. So here I am on the deal board and for a long time we've had the ability to add these little priority dots, red, yellow, green. And you can sort and filter based on these. But they're manual, right? You have to manually indicate this is a high priority deal and if that priority changes, you have to manually change it. It would be better to have something automatic. And so I'm so excited to tell you we now have something automatic. Check this out. If we go to our deal settings and if we go over to pipelines, we can add deal tags. And the way a tag works is you give it a name which can include an emoji, right? So if we want a money emoji here, we can do that. And these are deals that are worth more than 100 bucks. That's big money for me. And look at all the colors you can choose from. So many different colors. We'll go with green. If you are starter, you'll be your teal tags will apply to all deals in all pipelines. If you are pro or above, you can select specific pipelines if you want and then you get this rich filtering experience you can do. And filtering you can do or filtering. We have these suggested properties to help you get started. But look, all your deal activity, all your deal information, even some analytics history is here so you can really get specific about what deals you want tagged. So let's stick with amount since that's what I use as my example. And let's say it's greater than $100. Obviously you could get more complex with this if you want to, but you go ahead and create it and this is how that deal is going to look. And so like we save this and we head back over to deals and take a look at how this is. We now have all these labeled and color coded and we can sort and we can filter by deal tags. So if you want to see just your big money, you can do it. I love this because it's going to save you so many workflows. Previously, if you want to color code deals automatically, you you had to create a workflow. If you want to highlight deals that were stale because their create date was too long ago, or their close date was in the past or they hadn't had an activity a certain amount of time you had to create a workflow. No more workflows. Now all this tagging happens automatically. You can have up to 10 tags, which we feel like is sufficient. The idea here is you can look and get in a glance. The colors that's going on in your board, more than 10 might get cluttered, but we would love for you to try it out. Give us some feedback, a little. If you create your first tag, a little pop up will come asking for your feedback. Let us know how we can make it better. I want to hear from you how you're going to use it. Let me know what you think and let me know if you have any questions.
