Good morning, HubSpot Nation. It is time to Wake Up Customer Platform with your unofficial HubSpot updates morning show where we help you discover the platform value you already own. Chris I'm Chris Carolyn, joined by my co hosts Casey Hawkins and George B. Thomas. We are here every weekday morning to make sure you're not sleeping on HubSpot's true capabilities. If you're joining live, drop a hello in the comments and let us know what you're building in HubSpot today. Happy Thursday, July 17th. How are we doing this week?
We are doing well. We are doing well.
Doing good. We made it past hump day so you know, Friday Eve and ready to rock and roll.
Ready to rock and roll indeed. Especially when I see this first update Login Experience Redesign in Private Beta what is it? The initial phase of this redesign will involve a new streamline login page that reduces clicks, remembers previous login preferences, and makes it easy to switch between allowed login methods. Please sign up for our private beta to be a part of our initial testing. We will approve your request within one to three days. Once you are enrolled, log in from the current login screen and then log out. From then on, you will see the new redesigned login screen.
Why does it matter? The previous HubSpot login experience was fragmented with design inconsistencies across different entry points and dense, hard to navigate content. This often led to confusion and frustration, especially when users encountered login issues. By streamlining the sign in process and providing clear, more actionable guidance for troubleshooting, the new experience makes it easier for users to access their accounts with confidence and ease.
Hit that beta button, ladies and gentlemen. I love that they set expectations in this one. We'll reach out within one to three days. It's beautiful. At least we know. Yeah, we know. And not really reach out, but approve our request, you know. So I love the expectations. It's interesting because I have found myself in like a HubSpot login loop a couple times before where it's like, what the frick is going on? Like, I'm just trying to log in. I'm just trying to do work. So anything.
We're about to get explicit right there.
This is a PG show. It's a p. It's. It's a GBT show. They get explicit, but at the end of the day, I'm excited. Anything that gives me less clicks to get back to work is a good thing.
Yeah. Especially as they've been adding more ways to kind of tokenize your login process. Not just passwords anymore. Mm. It's definitely become more inconsistent in terms of just being different when you show up to the screen. It's so easy to just get thrown off completely when you're just one click away from where you need to be. But you know, our users, us included, we've got other things to worry about than all these. All these changes. So good to see the reduction, redesigning that. I will say I did get a little too excited because my mind is always on self service portals and I was thinking private content was on the way. Not yet. Not yet.
You did say everyone would get excited and I was like, I mean, sure.
Oh, Chris.
Exactly. Now this CRM designation wakes up. Makes way more sense. But. So we'll move on to another one where they're. They're gonna force me to commit to talking to this every day like I said I would like to do.
They really are. Like. I feel like they might be trolling you now.
Could be. Which I'm happy to. To support the effort of making sure people know that you can manually score deals and companies with Sales Hub now using the scoring app. If you have professional or enterprise Sales Hub.
You've read this so many days in a row, you're just freestyling. Yeah.
At the end of the day, I think they are trolling you because. Chris, it's not in my portal again.
You know what I think it is? I think it was beta yesterday. I think it's live.
That could be.
I'm looking at my notes, right?
Yeah, it could be. That could be one extra screenshot. Let's see. Sometimes on the bottom there's some notices.
Let's be honest. It could be a period.
Yeah.
An exclamation mark.
Note. You can also score companies with a combined score similar to deals or with the fit and engagement criteria as separate scores.
Yeah. So we've talked about it all week. It's very valuable with. Given the right inputs is how. I'll say scoring deals can be really powerful. I talked yesterday about how a client asked if I've ever seen this done well and I said it could be done. Well, I actually talked to that client yesterday. We talked about some, we discussed some ways to make it more impactful. One of the ways was not relying exclusively on manual inputs. That can be biased. So just consider that when you're looking at your deal scores, that specific client has GONG integrate, has GONG and has that integrated. So we're currently exploring what our options are to use like gongs, sentiments, score on calls and things like that, which in theory would be a little less biased than I would be. For example.
Yeah, yeah, I think you need clean data to get the stuff that you want.
Don't get me started.
Number three, just wait until the the ideas I have come your way. Guided Report Creation Flow what is it? HubSpot's guided report creation experience now provides a dedicated space to build custom reports either from templates or using one of six report builders.
Why does it matter? Data driven decisions are essential for your business strategy. But creating reports in HubSpot hasn't always been straightforward. Previously, it wasn't clear what templates are available or which report builder best fits your needs. Trial and error was costly because you had to start over if the wrong option was selected. Now you have a clearer path to insights. The new experience organizes templates by business area and data type while providing guided setup for HubSpot 6 Report Builders, the custom report builder specifically offers more guidance whether you're building from puri built data sets, Operations, Hub, enterprise or selecting from data sources.
I need some help. Join that beta 6 report builders. What are they referring to when they say that.
Words? Attribution Reports, Customer Journey Report, Single Object reports, Custom Report builder.
Yeah, look at that.
Okay. Yeah, these are all different report builders.
Yep.
One of my favorite things about this update is it defaults to the Sorry, I was just trying to open the image on bigger on your screen. Chris. Which isn't how that works. I like clicked it a couple times. I was like why isn't it working?
It's working.
Try a third time. Casey.
Happy Thursday everybody. We are almost a Friday because I like how it starts with the custom report builder. Previously the report builder started with single object reports, which I almost never use anymore because the customer report builder can be a single object report, but it also can be a multi object report. And so oftentimes I see people get stuck because they're in a single object report and then they realize oh, I need something from the company record or the deal record and then they're like there's no way to get that from that report. So they just kind of give up. So.
Little tidbit for you there on a Thursday morning.
Sorry.
Speaking of classic conversations you can be a part of if you join the HubSpot helpline on Fridays at 3 Eastern, 2pm Central on the profoundly LinkedIn channel. We will be back tomorrow. Kyle's still on parental leave, but we're gonna be back. Four of us, three of us, plus Rob Jones answering questions live, helping people live.
