Good morning HubSpot Nation. It is time to Wake Up Customer Platform with your unofficial HubSpot Updates morning show where we help you discover the platform value you already own. Chris I'm Chris Carolyn, joined by my co host Casey Hawkins and George B. Thomas. We're here every weekday morning to make sure you're not sleeping on HubSpot's true capabilities. If you're joining live, drop a hello in the comments and let us know what you're building in HubSpot today. Happy Monday, December 8, 2025 how are we?
I was waiting for Casey to go Doing good, doing good.
George and I were both running late today, so we're just thriving on this.
Monday and and I was trying to be a gentleman, so sorry for that. Long pause. Listening or watching this.
All good, all good. We. We are doing all right. Well luckily we don't get smashed right away. We've got a couple updates today, one kind of big one I think.
And.
We'Re going to hit those first and then talk about this slate of events that we've got planned for the week or that we want to highlight some exciting stuff going on. Number one today, Help Desk Search Experience updates and Public Beta Medium Impact what is it? We've introduced a set of enhancements designed to make it faster and easier for support teams to find the tickets they need. The Help Desk Search experience now includes a new search popover with pre search filters that help you narrow results before running a query, such as by closed tickets. It includes an updated search results page that automatically reflects any filters applied and it also includes a Smoother search interactions.
Smoother search interactions, everybody use those. It's very descriptive. Why does this matter? For high volume support teams, finding the right ticket can often feel like looking for a needle in a haystack. Customers have expressed that the search experience is inefficient with noisy results that are hard to navigate. These improvements directly address those challenges. Narrow results earlier with pre search filters that reduce noise from the start, surfacing the most relevant results and improved search interactions. A more intuitive and predictable flow makes it easier to apply filters and understand why results appear and refine queries with confidence.
Nice.
Makes sense. I'm loving these search upgrades all over the place.
I was also going to say I really like the image overlay part that it doesn't open in a new tab.
Yeah, let's keep it all on one surface can we haven't seen that word in a while. I guess that had its moment. Number two today Create segments of your quotes, subscriptions, invoices, payments and payment links. This one is live. What is it? Create segments of your invoices, quotes, subscriptions, payments and payment links based on their properties and associated data.
Why does it matter? You can now track and manage specific segments of invoices, quotes, subscriptions, payments and payment links and any associated data to create more targeted outreach strategies. For example, identify high value invoices and contacts associated with those invoices for priority follow up group similar quotes and contracts or companies associated with those quotes to streamline your sales process, segment subscriptions and contacts or companies associated with those subscriptions by renewal date to plan retention campaigns. This is very nice.
What segments we building first?
George Well I just looked to see if it was in my portal. First of all I don't have this update in my portal. Second of all I don't see the like the screenshots that show like the different ones in my portal yet. So I'm curious if this is like a slow rollout anyway. Probably so invoices for sure. I can think of some downstream and other humans that would like to just be able to see a segmented list of xyz. Yeah, this is, this is nice. I love the fact that you can tell that Commerce Hub is growing up because it's starting to enter like main areas of. Well it has been so I shouldn't say starting but it's entering more main areas of what we do and where we do it in HubSpot.
Yeah, I, a couple months ago I just pulled it up to make sure I wasn't like making this up. But in the spring I tried to make a list of contacts who submitted payment through a specific payment link. And, and I couldn't do that and I was like this feels very wild to me that I can't make a list of contacts based on a payment link. I ended up making a workaround that I just looked at the payment dates which is a, for the record a terrible workaround for any portal that like is actually used. I just don't do a lot in my portal so it worked okay. But very Happy. Like I just remember when I did that and thinking like this seems wild. So happy. Happy to see this.
Yeah, I think it's Looking like by Q1, sometime in Q1 every object will be a real object in the world where everything is an object will be. Will be achieved. So exciting times there for sure. Important to note that for quotes, those are available to customers on Commerce Hub Professional and enterprise.
Oh, I see.
And those are updates for today.
One thing before we jump because you just said something like it's been the thing forever. If You've been in HubSpot for a while and you're like, wait, Commerce Professional, just know that yes, there is commerce seats that you can now get if you have been rocking it without them, that unlocks some other features per se.
Yeah, lots of love inside of quotes and outside of quotes with Commerce Hub seats and Commerce Hub functionality in general. Lots of low hanging fruit there for lots of companies already using HubSpot. So as I mentioned, lots of content to highlight this week. We've got the Monday morning briefing now that Kyle's back. Kyle and Max. I know Max kept it going like a champion for, for about four or five months. Max in the community. I mean this is a great example of how awesome this community is. Is that Max did. I don't know if he did any shows on his own.
I don't think he did.
People lined up. You're on a couple times, Casey.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure he didn't do any shows by himself. Yeah, yeah.
When did. Do you guys know when Kyle started this?
Oh, geez.
It's.
It's been a hot minute.
Yeah, I think it's well over a year now.
It's definitely over a year.
Yeah. Yeah. And this is just a great example of the kind of conversational stuff that definitely inspired me to started doing a lot of content where they just, they just show up and run through the updates that have happened since last week. So check that out. We've got lead score Monday, also known as value first Scoring Monday.
Depends who you ask. Yeah.
With Casey and Riley. What are we talking about today, Casey?
We're talking about when we've been going through like who, what, when, where, why and today we're talking about when, which there's a few lenses we'll look at with. When. When does lead scoring. When is lead scoring helpful? When should you start triggering actions? And when do you need to look at your lead scoring again?
Nice.
Which is not when you get a new cmo.
No.
But I thought, okay, that's good to know.
That's that's usually when it happens. But.
Also we'll be jumping on with Daniel Urban with somebody first measurement right after this show. Tomorrow we've got more HubSpot projects Object Love coming to the HubSpot admins hug. Mark did a great webinar with Kim Hacker from Arrows last week. Some very interesting tidbits dropped during the webinar last week. If you're in Services Customer Success projects land, you definitely want to check this out. Lots of stuff going on on there. As an example, Projects has already replaced Services as the name of the tab that used to be called Services inside of Customer Success Workspace. So something to keep an eye on. They're going to keep going hard on this on this Object Join Casey and I this week free for the month of December. We're getting together to provide just office hours to the community Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 12 Eastern 11 Central for an hour. Just jump on gotta a questions queue that you can submit questions on. So just come over to the Value First Team website and sign up for that profoundly campus. We've got Pro Spotlight Chris Vetter talking about what it takes to go solo based on a recent LinkedIn post that he shared about how he intentionally did not want to build an agency. So check that out. That's on Thursday, December 11, 11am Central. And then we've got the HubSpot Helpline every Friday at 3pm Eastern, 2pm Central. Give us a call at 1-857-575-9526. Change it up a little bit this week and maybe talk about some some HubSpot wins. I don't know about you George, but sometimes just hearing the right way to do things is one of the best ways to help help your fellow Hubspotter out. Yeah.
Yeah, I love that.
Love that.
Can't wait to talk about some wins.
So give us a call, leave a message or leave a comment on this post. In the various slacks this has been submitted in, we'd love to share your wins, put a little spotlight on you but also help you know your fellow Hubspotters have some wins of their own. Anything else you folks are are looking forward to this week?
Just getting one day closer to Christmas each and every day. That's. That's it.
We put our Christmas lights up last night and brought the tree inside. We need to decorate the tree still.
So there you go.
Nice.
When we brought the tree Inside though, our 9 year old was at cheerleading practice and she got home from cheerleading and I was excited because I knew she was gonna be like, oh my God, the trees are here. And she runs inside. This is like 7:30. Her bedtime's like 8. She runs inside, she sees it and she's like, we have to decorate it tonight. And we were like, nope, not tonight. Not tonight. Which was predictable in retrospect. But yeah, a learning lesson. We're learning a lot. I say all the time.
There you go.
We lay down the law. Casey, not tonight. Not tonight.
Really strict over here.
Oh, I imagine, I imagine.
Well, I might need some help from you guys on Thursday morning because I'm going to be traveling to Colombia, the country for maybe about two months. So going to hang out with, with my wife and her family down there. It's been a little while since we've been down there. Won't take any time off. The beauty of what we do, I think is being able to work from anywhere that has good Internet. And I've been told that is the case. So excited to change things up a little bit. So excited for that this week and until next time. Remember folks, you probably already own the solution you're looking for in HubSpot. Sometimes you just need to wake up to it. Join us tomorrow morning live at 7:30am Central or catch us anytime on Spotify, Apple Music, and the Profoundly HubSpot Updates blog. Drop your biggest takeaway in the comments and let us know what capabilities you want to wake up to next. Until then, I'm Chris. Carolyn.
I'm Casey Hawkins.
