When most people think about business process, they think about filing TPS reports, creating sops, or having some tool for the big boss to crush all your creativity by making you do things their way, even though it makes no sense. In fact, I love business process in this whole space. I got into it because this is the work of experience building. When you design your processes, you are designing how yourself, your team, your clients, experience, experience. Your brand. Process is only as evil as the person creating it. So if you're trying to create a fun, creative, collaborative culture, process is where that happens. If you avoid process altogether because you're afraid of becoming the big bad boss, all you're allowing to happen is good, bad, ugly, toxic. Your culture's gonna become whatever happens to happen. Instead, if you take process and take control of it, you can assure not only that you're not the toxic boss using process as a punishment, but but you're able to craft a consistent culture of results of a positive experience.
