Let's talk about all the ways AI can help us humans.

George B. Thomas demos an AI clone that generates speaker content and talk outlines by capturing a person's voice and values. The system created a 90-minute keynote on human-centric marketing and an engaging intro in minutes. It works by cloning brand voice, values, and playbooks to scale what one person knows.

Good morning, LinkedIn, friends, HubSpot Nation. Welcome to another episode of let's Build AI Skills with Nico, George and Chris. Nico is on assignment today, but we've got a special guest joining us today. George.
Yes.
Yes, we do. Yeah. Chris. I'm super excited because I guess it was two weeks ago, I was driving down the road and I was doing kind of a. I see a normal thing, but for most mere mortals, it's not a normal thing. And then all of a sudden, my brain positioned into a different way. I don't know why. And all of a sudden, I had our special guest do something that was mesmerizing, and I immediately reach out. I'm like, hey, we've. I. I feel like we should show this on the show so people can see that there's different directions than the kind of roads that we might have been traveling thus far when it comes to AI and what it can do.
So.
Yeah.
Yeah.
What are your thoughts like?
Well, maybe I'm just always trying to defend the show up every day and do content play, but what came to mind is the exchange we had yesterday. We're like, as impactful as. That was your experience two weeks ago. Yeah, we advanced two weeks.
Yeah.
And everything is moving so fast.
Yeah.
And I experience this all the time. Working with Claude, working with, even in HubSpot, like, you build new stuff, you do new things, it's cool. It's impact, and then we're just on to the next thing.
Yeah.
Right.
So I love the opportunity and I'm glad we have it and make the space for it to take a minute, share it with others.
Yes.
And then see, you know, if it truly is as impactful as we think it is. And, you know, spoiler alert, it is. Yeah. But, you know, so I'm, I'm excited to dive in and, you know, wherever you want to start rather than. Yeah.
So, first of all, before we share the screen, there's a couple things. One, if you're interested after watching this in the tech, because that's the first question I get. How'd you do that? You can go to georgebthomas.com clone it's not going to take you to my website, it's going to take you to the tech. But just know georgebthomas.com clone now, Chris, go ahead and share the screen, because what's more important than the tech is the technique. And so if you want to understand kind of the, some, some of the foundational infrastructure or mindset around what we've been doing and what I'm super passionate about when it comes to actually cloning human expertise. Then you should probably check out this article because it's again, cloning the invisible. Right? And for me it's, I love talking about capturing the essence of a human or capturing the essence of a business. And so you're going to see this article. We, we quickly dive in and we talk about how essence is everything. We talk about your core values, your mindsets, your beliefs, your voice and tone, your stories and signature phrases, frameworks or methods or methodologies that you have literally leaning into emotional intelligence, boundaries and blind spots. And then for businesses there it rhymes but it's not the same. Right? So like brand values, cultural principles, tribal expertise. This, this right here is huge. Brand voice and tone, origin stories and case studies, playbooks and SOPs, customer philosophy, brand promise and differentiator. So, so to say that I've been thinking a little bit about this idea of cloning a human or cloning an organization to provide human centric value first servanthood based help into the world. Maybe a slight understatement, but so here's the thing. I'm going to bring up the clone and I'm going to have a conversation with my boy GBT, the HubSpot helper by the way. HubSpot helper. But we're not going to be talking about HubSpot. I just want that to go into everybody's cranium for a hot second. And at first I'm going to use it how we typically use AI Meaning I'm going to like hey, what should I be thinking about? And like here, okay, but then I'm going to give a shift and then I'm just going to let it do its thing and then Chris, you and I can kind of talk about that shift. And so I'm going to go ahead and call it, do a voice here and we'll start a call foreign.
Hey there, I'm George B. Thomas, the HubSpot Helper your go to HubSpot expert and inbound growth guide.
How can I help you today? Hey George, I'm getting ready to work on my inbound presentation where I'm talking about human centric marketing and I'm using the superhuman framework for marketing of purpose, passion, love and persistence. And I'm just curious like what could the main sections of my 90 minute talk be and maybe what are some bullet point things that I could talk about in each section?
All right, so for a 90 minute talk on human centric marketing using the superhuman framework, the main theme could Be something like transforming marketing through purpose, passion, love, and persistence. It's bold, it's clear, and it sets the stage for a journey that's both practical and inspiring. Now, let's break this down into sections. Start with purpose. This is where you dig into the why behind marketing. Talk about aligning strategies with a deeper mission, not just chasing metrics. Share examples of brands that lead with purpose and how it creates authentic connections. Next, move into passion. This is all about energy and enthusiasm. Highlight how passion fuels creativity.
So, George, I have a question. Can we back up to purpose? And can you maybe talk about, like, what we would do if we broke it down into the how, what, why, and who?
All right, let's break purpose down into the how, what, why, and who, starting with the why. This is the heartbeat of purpose. Why are you doing what you're doing? It's about the deeper mission, the impact you want to create, and the value you bring to the humans you're serving. Then the what. This is the tangible expression of that purpose. What are you offering? What's the product, service, or message that aligns with your mission? Next is what strategy?
I have a question, George. Here's what I want to do. Actually, let's back up for a second. I want to go to the intro. Like, when I step on stage, I want it to be super dynamic. And I really want to paint this picture of, like, Mad Men marketing. And then all of a sudden, there was inbound marketing. But how today? Because we're in what most people call an AI powered world, but I call an AI assisted world. How we need superhuman centric marketing. And so can you just kind of tell me what would like, the storyline look like for this like Mad Men to inbound to superhuman centric marketing? Talk me through that, please.
All right, picture this. You step on stage, and the first thing you do is take the audience back to the 60s. Cue the imagery of Mad Men, cigarette smoke, whiskey glasses, and marketing that was all about interruption. You paint the picture of a world where the loudest voice won, where ads were about pushing products, not connecting with people. Then you shift gears. You introduce the dawn of inbound marketing. This revolutionary idea that flipped the script. Suddenly, it wasn't about interrupting. It was about attracting. It wasn't about shouting. It was about.
All right, George, I have a question.
You show how I love where you're.
Going, and here's what I want you to do. When you get to the point where you're talking about inbound marketing, I want you to make sure you bring up Brian Halligan, Dharmesh Shah, as well as HubSpot. But what I want you to do right now for me is I actually want you to step on that stage. I want you to actually just present the intro to me and the people who are watching and listening right now like I was stepping on stage. Can you go ahead and just give me that intro like a professional speaker would? Paying attention to all the best practices of communication, engagement, please.
All right, picture this. I step onto the stage. The lights dim just slightly, and I take a deep breath. Then I say, ladies and gentlemen, let's take a journey. Imagine it's the 1960s. Marketing is all about the loudest voice in the room. Picture Don Draper, cigarette in hand, whiskey on the desk, crafting campaigns that interrupt your favorite TV shows. It was bold, it was brash, and it was all about selling, not connecting. I pause, let that sink in, and then continue. Fast forward to 2006. Two guys, Brian Halligan and Dharmesh Shah, had a crazy idea. What if marketing wasn't about interrupting people, but attracting them? What if we could create value, build trust, and let people come to us? That's when inbound marketing was born and HubSpot became the engine driving this revolution. Then I lean in, lower my voice, just a touch for effect, and say, but here we are today in an AI assisted world. The rules have changed again. It's not just about inbound anymore. It's about being superhuman. It's about marketing with purpose, passion, love, and persistence. It's about putting humans at the center of everything we do. And then I'd pause, look out at the audience and say, so are you ready to explore what it means to be superhuman in your marketing? Let's dive in. Boom. That's how you set the stage. What do you think?
I think that that's something that is the beginning of me crafting a dope storyline for an intro to my inbound talk. And so, Chris, you can see the difference of, like, asking it for things in paragraph style or asking for bullet points or, like, what do you think? Versus, like, hey, I want you to do this thing. And like, brother, I know where I would pause. I now know when I would move to the right side of the stage or the left side of the stage. Like, I can. I can even feel almost the mood shift of, like, because he's like. And then I lean in and I say, like, as a professional speaker, like, did I not only create a HubSpot helper, did I create a professional speaking coach that if I give it because I didn't even give it a document. Imagine if I gave it a document of the outline or a historical presentation or anything like that and said, how can we make this better? Or how could I do this intro? Or like, here are my current speaker notes. Like, can you look at those? And like, how. Anyway.
Yeah, man. No, you created a clone of yourself. Like your experiences, your insights, like, and I kind of like it that we didn't. You didn't give it like the documentation, the best practices, the like all this stuff. I think a lot of humans are at risk of biasing AI.
Yep.
By feeding it all this, these human best practice stuff. But interesting things came to mind. The first one was like, you know, if you're out there wondering why George would want to do this, instead of like, try to create conversations with him, the human, because that makes more money and he has more control. And just all the reasons we usually come up with not to innovate. Like, the reality is what we've been experiencing as we do more content, is that user base is exploding. And there's lots of people, probably more than actually do know George B. Thomas who don't know George B. Thomas.
Yeah, yeah.
And this ability to scale, literally answering the question or answering the wish that most business leaders.
