NEW: HubSpot CTA Pop-Up on Button Click

George B. Thomas walks through HubSpot's updated CTA tool to create pop-up forms that trigger when visitors click a button on your website. The video shows the step-by-step setup and how to use it in practice.
All right, it's your boy, George B. Thomas. And I'm back with another golden nugget of HubSpot information. That's right. Have you ever wanted to be able to click a button on your website and have something pop up? Now this might be a iframe with a form in it so somebody can fill out something to start a conversation or get started with your greatest product or service. Heck, it could be clicking a button and all sudden there's a pop up that is maybe giving more information about a future webinar that you want them to register to. What you have pop up, honestly, I don't care. But it's can we have it hidden until that button is clicked? And today I'm going to show you exactly how to do that in HubSpot. Hey, you know what time it is? That's right. Recently HubSpot updated their CTA's tool and took a piece of what was in the forms tool and brought it all together. And now in a very simple way, you can use a button module in HubSpot and the HubSpot CTA tool to do exactly what I explained. The cool thing, you can also do this on external website pages with your button tools. You just need to know how to link it together. And I'm going to show you that. Let's get into the good stuff. Okay, so we're in HubSpot in the.
First part of this idea of having a button that you click and then.
Most people would call it an iframe.
That would pop up and you could fill out a form is relatively easy if you know how to leverage some tools in HubSpot.
First tool we're going to go to.
Is the CTA's tool in HubSpot. So we'll go marketing and we'll go lead capture and we'll go to CTAs. Now I am talking about the CTAs, not the CTAs legacy. But in the CTAs tool we can create a pop up and you can go create from scratch and then you're going to see pop up box that you'll be able to select. Now I'm going to go ahead and go back because I have one and you can see here, if I edit this pop up box, you'll see that I can go to the targeting section right here and notice trigger on button click. And what this will do is when the visitor clicks on a button on any page display this cta. Well, because it's a pop up with a form that's basically like the iframe version. Now we're not going to worry about style because I would probably style this a little bit different if I was truly taking it live. However, we'll go back over here and if it's on an external page, you can use a code snippet. The good thing is we use HubSpot CMS.
So we're going to go over and.
We'Re just going to play around with this. So right now, if we wanted to add that pop up to this page, let's go down here for instance, and we're going to go ahead and just add a button to the page just so we can mess around here. So we'll look for the button module, we'll go ahead and just drop this in real quick and we'll say, hey, what do we want to do? Well, we want to look at this pop up cta. Select a pop up cta. We've got new pop up and we can add button copy. So click here to fill out form. I mean, we could make it a little bit better copy, but it's just a HubSpot tutorial, ladies and gentlemen. You get the point. So we'll go ahead and just come in here and preview this page so that we can see what happens. Now when I come to this page and I scroll down and and I click here to fill out the form, boom, there's my pop up in what.
Might be called an iframe. Or maybe it is an iframe, but at the end of the day it.
Was all done in HubSpot.
That's right.
It's that easy.
It's that simple. So how will you use this new functionality? What buttons?
What popups?
What information? How are you going to impact the world? Let me know in the comments below and remember to continue to be a happy, helpful, humble human. And I'll see you in the next video real soon. Don't.
