Amanda Schumacher, HubSpot's product manager for content intelligence, walks through the new Patagonia Editor and its SEO features. The update adds deep linking to specific modules so you can fix SEO issues faster without hunting through your whole page.
Hi everybody, this is Amanda Schumacher, product manager for HubSpot's content intelligence team. And today I wanted to give you a preview of our brand new Editor Optimize experience. Inside of the new Patagonia Editor. You will see that in the Patagonia editor there's a left side navigation with icons and there's this gauge icon here which is the new Optimize tab. When you click on it you will see a pushy menu that expands SEO options and there's different categories of recommendations within SEO. So most of the recommendations from the old editor have been moved over into here. We're going to be adding topics in soon. We're still in the process of building it, but we have the ability to expand all of the different categories of recommendations. So all of your title recommendations are going to be hidden away in here. If you want to see your links recommendations, you can expand them here. And the real draw of this new Editor Optimize menu is that we added functionality in some of the recommendations to not only tell you what you need to fix, but we have Deep linked to the exact module and spot on the page where you need to fix it to make it even easier to fix all of your SEO issues. So for the title recommendation for example, we have this new Fix button. If you click on it, it will open up the Settings modal and highlight the Title field where you need to enter in your page title. And there is even a handy tool tip in case you've forgotten which recommendation you were looking at. We also have support for Meta Description recommendations. These are also deep linked to the Meta Description field, so you can click on this and it will highlight the field for you and it will automatically go away once you have entered in the Meta description. And the other recommendation that we support for now is Images. So if your image is missing alt text, you can click on the exact image and we'll open up the image module for you to enter in your alt text here. As we continue to develop this feature, we eventually want to add support for all of the recommendations to be click to open up the correct module where you need to fix for now, we're starting off with support for these three recommendations and if there are any other recommendations that you would like to see added to the new Optimize panel, we would always love to hear your feedback. And yeah, thank you for taking the time and I hope that you enjoy this new feature.
