This is a YouTube video titled "Podcasting Consistency and Duration! | George B Thomas Speaking" containing a monologue by George B. Thomas recorded in February 2025. The content focuses on podcasting advice, specifically emphasizing the importance of consistent publishing schedules and choosing episode lengths that suit the target audience's lifestyle, such as commute times.
I don't care how long or how often you publish. Just make sure when you do publish that it's consistent. You see, we listen to podcasts like, we watch our TV shows. I know exactly what day and time Big Brother is on. I'm gonna be on my couch, I'm gonna be watching it. And they, when they go to get in their car, want to know that the next episode of the podcast that they love and the people they want to hear is gonna be there for the journey. So make sure you're consistent. Number five, how long will my show be again? This is up to you. Like, you could have it be a five minute show, a 15 minute show. You could be like Tim Ferriss, where your show is like 2 hours and 15 minutes and you need a snack and a backpack so you can make it through, right? It's totally up to you. For the Hubcast, what we chose to do was do 20 to 25 minutes per episode. Why? Remember in the beginning I said, pay attention to your audience. Make your podcast be for them. We knew that most marketers probably had a 20 to 25 minute commute to home or to work and that that would fit the appropriate time that they would have to listen to us. So you. We know that we could have made it successful for an hour, but it wouldn't have fit the community. Make sense. Everybody say a all.
