Agency operators can boost revenue fast by re-engaging current and past clients to show them the full range of services they offer. A re-education initiative uncovers additional business opportunities without needing new clients.
What is your number one tip for agency operators? Over the last 18 months, a lot of agencies have struggled with new business development. If you need money and you need revenue very quickly, the best way to get it is through people who have already given you money, current clients and past clients. And the best way to get that revenue up is to go back and mine those clients for more work. Because I promise you, I guarantee you, 90% of those clients do not know the full offerings that you provide. In the first meeting you went through a capabilities thing, you went through a deck, you explained everything. But they all they heard was that one thing that you were going to solve a problem for which was build a website or something. They don't know you do SEO in paid search, even though it's all over your website. Like your client isn't going back to your website after they've hired you. My tip is, is that make sure you have a re education initiative with clients in progress and past clients, and you're running this initiative at least once a year.
