Hey friends, got a little update here. Let me just show you. It'll be easier if I just show you. Here I am inside my deal settings and with deals you can add stage properties and you can add these properties and they they pop up in a little pop up box. So like this is my qualified to buy stage. I'm saying that if you're going to say a deal is qualified to buy, you need to know what other competitors are in play at that point. I don't know if that's reasonable or not, but for this hypothetical example is fine. In the free and starter versions you've been able to add these properties but you cannot make them required. So if the sales rep just wants to close out of the pop up window and not fill them in, they can totally do that. At Pro and above you've been able to check this box and then they cannot move the deal into the stage until the required properties are set in. What is changing is that this required option is moving down from Pro to starter. So if you have starter starting October 6th, you can now require properties with your deal stages, which is super exciting. But the one bit of commentary I want to add to this is I just last week did a webinar I was talking about this stuff and said like this is a pro feature, now it's a starter feature. Stuff in HubSpot changes really fast, which is why as I lean into admin content, you're going to see a lot of live stuff rather than having prerecorded videos in HubSpot Academy that I have to constantly be updating and can't possibly keep fully up to date. Lots of webinars, maybe some boot camps or training opportunities. I think maybe that things every SWAT admin Needs to know series I will redo quarterly or something so that you're always getting the up to date version of this. Anyway, point is all this to say Starter above can now make properties required by deal stage starting October 6th.
