Slack vs ClickUp - avoid chaotic communication

Slack floods you with messages that disappear into chaos. ClickUp keeps project communication and tasks organized in one place, so nothing gets lost after the project ends.

I have seen companies that have created Slack channels for every single project that they're doing. And then their sidebar inside of Slack is like a meter long. It's wildly unorganized. It's unstructured. Conversations are either happening in individual messages, or people are threading conversations, and stuff gets buried. Every conversation gets rolled out. And when new conversations come in, that. That's just overwhelmingly disorganized. But something like ClickUp, where you have the ability to leave a task on a comment at the parent task level, then you have a legacy of that information inside of the PM tool that you can reference at any time, even after the project has been closed. You can still go back and get it. You can still reference it. You can activate the information that you're sharing inside of ClickUp by turning things into tasks, even from the comment section. And so, in terms of best practices, basically just put it in ClickUp.
