Social Media Collaboration in HubSpot [Update]

This is a YouTube video titled "Social Media Collaboration in HubSpot [Update]" created in November 2023. The content features George B. Thomas explaining a new collaboration sidebar feature in HubSpot's social media tool that enhances team communication and streamlines the social media publishing process. The video is a single-speaker presentation focused on product updates and user guidance.
Omg. Did you know that your social media sharing process in HubSpot got a huge addition? That can change how your organization thinks about taking your social media ideas from idea to published masterpiece and streamlines the team process along the way. Ready to see what's changed and how it can impact your internal communication and social media publishing process. Hey, you know what time it is? So first, what's the change? Well, you now have a collaboration sidebar in your HubSpot social media tool. That's right. You can now comment on individual draft social posts within HubSpot, create tasks for yourself or your colleagues, and even view the marketing calendar, all while editing a social post. Let's go. So why does the social media tool update matter? Up until now, there were no options to collaborate and work directly with colleagues inside the social tool. You had to rely on external sources like email, team, Slack, or maybe a good old fashioned carrier pigeon to ask colleagues to review draft social posts and provide feedback on the required changes. These external conversations meant that the context was quickly lost and of course added a level of complexity that just didn't need to exist. Adding the collaboration sidebar into the HubSpot social tool allows these conversations to happen seamlessly within your HubSpot hub while holding all relevant context easily accessible and when and where needed. Think about what you might do with all the time you just gained back in your day with this simplified process. Heck, you might be able to pick up origami or knitting moving forward. Who knows? You pick your choice. So how does this HubSpot update work? Commenting can be accessed via the drag and drop collaboration sidebar, which now appears with an individual draft and scheduled social media posts. Bonus tip. You can also view existing marketing tasks and your campaign calendar directly from the sidebar as well. Multiple comment threads are supported along with the ability to at mention users and teams on the portal and amazing. Part of this update is that comment notifications are supported in the social tool, which ensures colleagues are notified of new updates even when not directly logged into their HubSpot hub. Any unread comments will be visible on the sidebar for easy access and it's possible possible to resolve threads of comments when work is completed. And for more details on the commenting feature in the HubSpot social media tool and all other HubSpot tools that support commenting, you can check out the Knowledge article in the comment section below. By the way, Pro tip. It's only possible at this point to add comments when viewing an individual social post in draft or schedule state. The commenting functionality is disabled when first creating multiple posts in the social tool. Now you might be wondering, George, who the heck gets this? Well, for right now, if you're a marketing pro or marketing enterprise customer, you are in luck. You have it as soon as you head over to your portal and enable this amazing new beta feature. Well, that's it for me today. What do you think of this simple yet powerful social media tool update? Remember to be a happy, helpful, humble human and I'll see you in another video real soon.
