A software consultant explains why they don't offer done-for-you setup services. Work management software is like a car you need to learn to drive yourself, not a chauffeur service. If you want someone else to handle it, this isn't for you.
One of the most common questions I get from clients who are looking to organize their work management software is, hey, can you just do it for me? Can you just set up my ClickUp, my smartsuite, my notion, my Monday? Can you just get it all set up perfectly and then give it back to me? Because I'm in a rush and unfortunately I have to tell all of them no. But the reason why I have to say no is because I believe your work management software is kind of like a car. All right? Just pretend that actually looks like a car done for you. Services are like hiring that chauffeur to drive you every single day. You're going to need to get to work every single day. Just like you need to be able to use and manipulate and readjust your work management software software just about every day. Whereas processdriven, we are driver's education service. We're teaching you how to drive, we're teaching you how do you set up and use your work management software. If you have the budget for that daily chauffeur, by all means get somebody to set up your work management software for you and then have them on retainer to fix it every few days when something needs to tweak. But for most people, that's not realistic since your needs will always be changing.
