This is a YouTube video titled "Stop communicating without intention." containing a monologue or talk recorded on February 12, 2024, discussing the importance of intentional communication, collaboration, and setting expectations in remote work environments to create a more equitable and effective work culture.
What I love about remote work is I think it kind of just comes down to that. You said the word intention and we use that a lot too. It's like you got to be really intentional about how you're communicating, collaborating, like setting expectations, like your culture, things can happen organically, but you really just actually have to think of ways in a more of like a systematized, process driven way. And that's kind of like aligns to like our way of working and what we've always wanted to build. I think it's honestly just makes it a bit more equitable in some ways because I find if you're working in an office or if you're hybrid mode for companies, like a lot of the issues it seems and I haven't experienced this like being in house, working in an office, like, you know, you couldn't make that meeting or someone had like a drive by conversation. It wasn't documented somewhere, you didn't know what the update was, you're out of the loop. But we have to have a lot more intention, setting expectations, communication, collaboration around a remote team.
