This is a YouTube video titled "The Hidden Danger of Always Saying 'YES' #shorts #agencybreakthrough" featuring Arianna Huffington discussing the pitfalls of agreeing to various outsourcing and staffing solutions during the sales process, emphasizing the importance of genuine investment and involvement from decision-makers. The content is a monologue focused on business and sales strategy.
Some of the mistakes were you want to say yes when you're in the sales process to people so as to make the sale. I would say yes to things like, could I outsource a writer and bring that writer on on occasion for this? I'd say, ah, yeah, I think we could make that work. Doesn't work. Could I outsource the video and make it work? Doesn't work. Could I have somebody on my staff also do this? Oh, yeah, I think we can make that work. Doesn't work. These are the things that don't work. So I said yes to a lot of these things at first. CEOs not involved in some of the initial conversations. Doesn't work. Somebody calls me up and says, hey, Marcus, I believe they ask, you answer. Works. Can you talk to my CEO and convince him or her that this will work? Doesn't work. Because I tried that too. I realized if somebody hasn't invested any energy in trying to learn about this thing, I don't care if I am John the Baptist, they are not going to pay attention to, to my words.
