Make sure I don't get distracted by my shiny objects. But I see a great question come in. Looking for tips around bookkeeping business templates? I've tried to set up what is available and it is way too complicated looking for a simpler process to manage those. Bookkeeping. I'm assuming clients that you have that are bookkeeping bookkeeping clients as opposed to bookkeeping for your own internal business. But correct me if I'm wrong there Sony, we can pull that in. Anyone else here who has a question, a topic, a reason you came to this live stream other than to just hang out, which is also a valid reason. Feel free to put your questions, Comments Use cases Areas of interests in the chat are you most interested in templates to automate your workflow? Preferably a ClickUp music friend because that would be a weird power move and we will be starting shortly. I should have said earlier but my bad. If you're watching on the replay, you can skip ahead to the timestamp for when we actually get started. YouTube is weird about their livestream start times, so we're just pregaming a little bit here for those of us who are here live. Great question from Tammy in the chat about automations within templates. Mariah. If we don't have a Q and a banner folder started, we will definitely get one started because I think these are some great things. I mean I may naturally answer as we go on, but let's, let's be safe for the Sorry Gord, I can't believe you are on your vacation and joining us here. I am honored but also very, very jealous. Very jealous. Hey Danny from the Philippines. Good to see you guys here. We'll be starting on the hour about three minutes from now, give or take. Sa hey Victor, thanks for joining us. Would love to hear more about Click Up Fest in the chat. I know that's different in each region, so I'm sure there's others here who are like, ooh, click Up Fest. What's that? Can you fill us in? All right, well, the music is looping, which may be our perfect cue to get ourselves started here. Welcome or welcome back to a live stream here with ProcessDriven all about ClickUp templates. I know we've got some tips already being thrown in the comments about ClickUp Fest and top issues people are asking about, and I'm going to get rid of this little overlay so I can actually see all of you lovely humans. Hello, welcome back. Today we have a lot I want to cover. I've created this live stream because inside the Prostrum Foundations community, I feel like one of the most common questions I see is, all right, I've got my ClickUp set up, I'm using it, it's working. But now I want to incorporate templates and I have a million questions and we have some baseline trainings on templates. You know, Templates 101, Templates 102 is kind of included in our course, but when it comes to ClickUp templates, there are so many lovable quirks. We'll call it that. I feel like we just need to get all together just what we're doing here and go through all of the weirdness in one spot. So that way if you want to learn and Master ClickUp templates. You're not having to piece together 50 different videos or 50 different help docs or so on. Actually, about. I think when we first scheduled this, I had just done a giant roundup post just writing out all of my tips for the community and I figured this live stream is a great part two to just bring it all together for those of you who'd rather see than read, just like me. So before I get started, just want to say some quick hellos to the chat. If you're joining me live, go ahead and let us know where you're joining us from. We've got Cody here. We've got Variety from Ohio, Martina from Poland. We've got Mariah from Utah, Michael from London. Fantastic to see some of you here. If you have questions like Mike has highlighted here, go ahead and put them in the chat now. My magical DJ Mariah will be pulling them in. And as we go through certain features, I would love to be Answering your Q's. I was gonna say answering your Q's and A's. That's not right. Answering your Q's as we go through the live stream today. Now, what is this live stream gonna cover? I said templates. That's like a little topic, isn't it, Layla? Not quite the matter of templates and ClickUp has so many different moving pieces. So I've kind of bear with me here. I've tried to break it all down into one agenda. What we're going to be covering in this live stream. And if you are watching on the replay, you can skip to the relevant timestamp are first, the basics of templates. So I know we had at least one person in the chat who is brand new to ClickUp. And actually, let me do a double check here. How many other folks just say yes in the chat? How many of us are brand new to ClickUp or consider themselves a beginner? No shame. Just let me know a yes in the chat. If you're someone who considers yourself more advanced, would you mind writing advanced in the chat? I just want to get a sense of our distribution here. How quickly should I go through the beginning stuff and how much should I spend on the advanced topics? So yes, for a beginner. Write advanced for advanced. Oh, awesome. Okay. Rachel, Chase, Martina, Soni, Mike, Felicia. Okay, so we got some beginners. Cody's advanced. Jody medium. I love that. Mariah intermediate. Okay, so a bit all over the place. Matthias, Average. Advanced beginner. Advanced beginner. Okay, so we're going to be going through each of these pieces Here and I'm going to start off with the beginner stuff and I want to just give a quick warning to our advanced people that these first five to ten minutes might be a little bit slow for you, but that's okay because we're going to build on this us with some more advanced stuff as we go. We're going to cover creating and editing templates, applying the templates and all the ways you can do it. Most of these you're probably aware of advanced people, but some of them I'm guessing you underutilize like most users. Then we're going to go through use cases. I know we got some comments in the chat about how to use this for bookkeeping, how to use this for your new property management business. I'm going to go through the three common reasons why you should use templates. So that way when you're in those situations you can say, ah, okay, I remember this from that live stream with Layla. Or this is a moment where a template is going to solve my problem. Beyond that, we're going to then go through some advanced tricks. Now this is the stuff where for those of you who are advanced, I think this will be worth the wait because we're going to be going into some of the more sophisticated strategies you can utilize. Templates for that are not necessarily officially endorsed by ClickUp. They're workarounds and, and janky fun things that can really do a lot of can create a lot of power for your organization. Now, just like the beginning stuff, our advanced people might want to snooze a little bit on this advanced stuff may be a bit too much if you are a total beginner to ClickUp. If you're in this section and you're starting to be like, oh God, what is she talking about? Please, please, please don't let yourself get overwhelmed. Come back to this video in a week or two and as you practice those basic pieces then everything will kind of make more sense as we get onto the advanced stuff. So don't rush yourself if you are a beginner and the we'll talk a little bit about systems versus software as we go through as well. Now, just to get us started, we are going to be starting our journey on the basics of templates. So I'm going to be opening up my ClickUp account here. Let me know if you can see in here. Just writing yes in the chat if everything's showing up properly for you. Humor me. Okay? Just let me know if you can see and hear. Okay. And I'm going to be going through a crash course on ClickUp templates. So here we are in our magical little land. And when it comes to ClickUp, we are able to template just about everything inside your hierarchy. So your hierarchy in ClickUp, for those of you who are brand new, are things like your spaces, your folders, your list and your tasks. You can also template things like views and other goodies, but that gets into the more the advanced tips. When it comes to these templates, the method of creating them is the same, whether it's a space, a folder, a list. It's a little bit tiring, but it's simple once you get the hang of it. So creating a template looks something like this. We create something that we want to reuse. In this case, I've created a task with two subtasks. These are things that I want to be able to reference in the future. I want to save all of this good stuff as a template. To do that, I can either use my non dominant mouse button to click right here and save as a template, or what most people will do is I open up the areas. In this case, I'm going to open up the parent task. The biggest thing in my container that I want to save, go up to the top, go to templates and click save as template. Now, notice what I just said there. That's an important tip for folks who are new to the ClickUp orbit. I said go up to the highest level. Okay, so if I want to template a task with subtasks, I need to go to the task that's the highest, the biggest thing, right? If I did the same steps I just showed you, but just for the subtask, I'm only going to be saving that subtask because the way templates work in ClickUp is they save everything below where you're saving them. So for example, if I want to save everything in this list, well, I don't want to go to a task to do that, right? I want to go up to the whole list, go to the three dots, and I want to save as a template that whole list. Similarly with folders, similarly with spaces, go as high as you possibly can. Now, when it comes to these templates, saving them looks something like this. Let's just say I want to save this task, I'm using my non dominant mouse button to do it without having to have more clicks, and I'm going to save as a template. In this case I need a name. In this case, I'm going to need a name for my template. So I'M going to call this something like let's call this Utah because I'm seeing that in the chat. We'll call this my Utah template, just so I can easily find it later. The first questions I'm going to be asked about this template is what do I want to call it? When it comes to naming templates, we want to name them similar to what we do for our, say, Google Drive. If your company already has a naming convention in place for how you name your files, follow that same practice when it comes to actually naming your templates in ClickUp. So for some companies that might be a prefix with your department name, such as cx a dash name of the file a dash use case right? Whatever your naming convention is, that's what you want to have as the name of your template. In this case, I'm going to do something like this. I am not going to put any date in this template because I ClickUp will automatically track the date I updated it, so putting that in the title is just going to waste time. Below this, I have the option to add a description. This is a new word feature to ClickUp, and candidly, it's not the best. You can put this description in here if you want to provide a little bit more color to your colleagues when they look at it. But this isn't exactly something you'll be able to easily reference, so I'd probably keep this pretty simple. In this case, I might just write Demo for ClickUp masterclass. Perfect. The next piece is Tags. Now, y' all who have been using ClickUp for a while, you know that Tags is ClickUp's way to do folders in a lot of different situations, from documents to time and so on. Rather than folders, ClickUp often gives us tags to organize our information. In Template land, it is no different. These tags allow us to organize our templates into categories. In this case, I could do something like demo, save that and apply that tag so I can filter it later. I'll show you down the line what these templates actually look like as we go. Now, before I move on too much further, I want to just do a quick check in on the chat or Mariah offline. If you can give me some gestures. I'm seeing some comments saying the live stream is not starting for people. If you are able to like, if you're with me here, let me know. I just want to make sure we're not facing any kind of tech glitch. We started on the hour. Just want to make sure that you're all able to see and hear. Okay, I'll look out for those comments as I keep on going. Or a message from Mariah. But moving forward, the next setting we have here for our templates is sharing. Sharing just says, who else can view, edit, use this template? In this case, I'm going to choose all members. I'm going to choose. Everybody in my ClickUp account can go ahead and use Edit all the good stuff. This template, if you wanted to, you can restrict this to different groups, select groups of people, or even teams of people. If you're not familiar with teams in ClickUp, you can learn more about them on my YouTube channel. We have some demos of how you can use teams, but teams are essentially collective assignees. If you are setting up templates, I do strongly encourage you to consider also setting up teams, because then you can give group access. I could give all designers access to this template to use it, edit it, all that, and if those designers change over time, this access will automatically change without me having to go back in here and edit it all manually. I am very glad to hear that the chat is working. Thank you, Victor and Chase and Mike and the others for letting me know. I feel it a little crazy there. I was like, wait, what's happening? Are we falling apart? I'm glad to hear we're not. And this is the Share with section. Beyond Share with with templates, we have public sharing, and this is one that you have all probably experienced in some way, whether you realize it or not. Public sharing is where you can take a template that's created in your account and give it access. Give access to it not only to your internal parties that you choose here, but to the public. So, for example, I could save this here, give the public link to any of you in the chat, and you could install this exact structure into your ClickUp account. As long as you're logged in and have a ClickUp account. This public sharing is the same functionality you see when you browse clickups, templates that they have available, or you buy templates from somebody online. That is the same functionality here. Public sharing, that's the link below this. We have import options. Now, this is one that most people will always leave. Just as you see here, they'll leave it as import everything. And if you take one tip away from this video, I want to encourage you to change that piece in just one small way. All right? Rather than import everything being your default behavior when you're setting up a template, go to customize included items. What you're telling ClickUp with this button is, hey, I want you to template this, but not every single thing. There's just a few things I want you to save for me and let me reuse. And the things I want you to change is right here with Watchers. Whenever you create a template, unless you want to be notified about every single thing that happens with that task in the future, no matter who creates the template, I'd encourage you to remove Watchers. This means when I recreate this, the watchers will be blank. And let me. Actually, that was a little confusing. Let me explain that one more time. Watchers are like the followers in ClickUp. They're notified. Like followers in Facebook, you're notified about activity. If I create a task by default, I will have Watcher stuff attached to me. So if I create a template, I save it, I expect my entire team to use it, and I don't adjust this setting, I run the risk of me being notified about every single activity that ever happens. Anytime somebody uses this template, and unless you are a very type A operations manager, that's probably going to cause overwhelm for you. Waste a little bit of your time, clutter up your notifications. I'd suggest avoiding it by just making this a part of your regular practice of just removing that Watcher's piece unless you truly want people to be notified. So that's that. You also have the option to remove other pieces here. As you can see, almost every element of your task in this case, you can choose to remove or not. But once you save the template, what happens? We see this little message come up and you're like, what just went on? When you save the template, it's almost like when you click Save as on your computer, you save a file and you put it somewhere else. In this case, you're saving it the somewhere else to ClickUp's area. ClickUp's template area. So just to show you what that looks like inside of ClickUp, if I wanted to browse my templates, I can go to any layer in the hierarchy. Maybe on a task, maybe on a space. Doesn't matter. I'll just go here. For sakes, click on templates and click Browse Templates. You can get to this in so many different ways. But if I wanted to, and if I could bear the constant errors that ClickUp will give us, I could search for my template called Utah and find it here. This area, this template center, is where all of my templates live. It doesn't matter at this point, if I go back to this task, I created and delete it, or rename it, or change the assignee, or change the task or change the other thing. No matter what I do to this live version you see in front of me here, it's not going to affect the template because the template is a saved copy. It's untouchable at this point. No matter what happens to this one, it's safely tucked away, which is both a benefit and a bit of a headache. But I don't want to just leave you here knowing how to create templates. Let's talk about how to edit and delete them, because this is where sometimes the confusion sets in to edit that template. Let's say I do want to change my Utah template. I don't want it to be these three things. I want to change the name of it, I want to change the due dates, I want to make sure assignees are baked in. I want to have dependencies built in. Well, how do I do that? Most people will go into their ClickUp account, they'll browse their templates, they'll find their beautiful template, they'll say, ah, my baby, you're home. And they'll think, okay, how, how do I edit this? This, this seems weird. What do I, what do I do here? Continue to get error codes from ClickUp. But what does that actually mean? Well, the thing we need to do to edit a template in ClickUp is a bit clunky. We need to use the template first. Once we use it, then we can edit it and basically override, resave over our template. That is the process for editing a template. Yes, it is incredibly clunky. Yes, we have been having a feature request for probably over two years now, asking for different behavior, but that's still how it goes. So whether it's a task, a list, a folder, a space, a view template, you need to apply it, edit it, and then override your previous saved version. So let's go through that together here. In this case, I'm going to create my Utah template. Need two fix. I'm going to create it on my list, I'm going to import everything in it because it's already including just what I need. I'm not going to touch this subtask piece because I'll talk about that a little bit later and I'm going to load it into my account. Here we can see my task is created. This is a copy of what I had saved in the safe holding area of the templates. And at this point, I'm going to change the things that bothered me about it. In this case, I want to add assignees. So I'm going to hit the M key while hovering over the assignee, which is just a little hotkey I like to use to automatically assign to me. So little tip there, hover your mouse, click M on your keyboard. It'll auto assign to me without you having to click through everyone's beautiful faces. Although, you know, you see your team's beautiful faces. Another time maybe. Another thing I want to adjust is I want to add dependencies. So I'm going to copy my links, I'm going to go to dependencies, I'm going to say that my subtask is blocking my parent task from completion. And there we go. Once we have this all set up, we're going to then override our existing template. Now I should point out, and Cody pointed this out in the chat as well, man, it would be great if the updating process for these templates changed. I would not be surprised in maybe the months that follow this. This tutorial here that does change. Gosh, we've been hoping for it for so long. At the time of recording though it's not yet here. If that does become a thing, then we will certainly be releasing something on it so that you guys are all aware. Now I'm going to move on and I'm going to rename this. What's another state we have in the audience? I think I saw Kentucky early on. We're going to rename our Utah template to be a Kentucky template. Oops, sorry. First I have to update my existing one. So in this case I'm going to override Utah. Click next here. I can now edit the same settings. In this case I'm going to rename it to be Kentucky and I'm going to save my template. In this case I am overriding and you can see all the errors popping up in the corner. These are toaster notifications. They're called popping up from the bottom. And that is just because as some of you have pointed out in the chat clickups being a it's having a mood today. But that is how we go about updating the template. Now once we have that all updated, our new fresh copy is saved into the magical cloud. So once we use it in the future, we will find the Kentucky template and so on and so on. Now that is the overall creation and updating process. The third use case that I told myself I would go over and I want to make sure I do is is deleting templates to delete a template which is a good practice to avoid having lots of clutter, especially because a lot of new users forget to update templates rather than updating them. They just keep saving new versions. And then you have four different versions of a bookkeeping process template and it's like chaos. Here's how you go about deleting templates. First, we need to get to the template manager. You can get that. You can get to that area in so many ways. Like I've talked about. You can get to it from here. You can get to it from these three dots right here. You can go to it from these three dots. Anywhere where you see those dots, you can probably get to your template manager. You can browse your templates and find your template. In this case, let's just say folder template. I hate this folder template. Sorry, Monica, it's just not what we want anymore. Grr. It was created, I can see here in August. It was last updated in August and it hasn't been used since. So if I want to delete this template, unfortunately there's no way right now to really merge this together if it's a duplicate. So all I have here is the delete option. This will allow me to delete this template and remove it from my account and from everybody else's account. The ability here to so easily delete templates is one of the reasons why sharing templates is something you want to be thoughtful about. In ClickUp, sharing templates is yes or no. You share it with Monica. You don't share it with Monica, you share it with Mariah, you don't share it with Mariah, but as soon as you share it, they have full access to do exactly what I'm about to do, which is just junk it, delete it, change it, change it so that you can never recover it. So it's a little bit of a trust exercise, but in this case, I hope Monica trusts me and doesn't actually need this because I'm going to delete this template from our account. And just like that, it is gone. Additionally, I want to show you one more example. Here is this template. Here's another one I'm just clicking on for fun. You can see how all the same fields that we saw when we created the template were available and are available here, such as those tags we talked about before. The other thing you'll see inside this template area is the ability to share that template. Just like I already told you about, the share button right here is not sharing with your teammates, although you think that's what it is. That's actually what this shared one is. Again, confusing interface. This is actually public sharing. So you've got this option which is a repeat of what you have down here, but this is really the only area you can go to to share a template publicly with the world. And those are the settings that are available to you inside your template manager. You also have the image or the image the option. I think this was effective probably about six to eight months ago to add images to your templates if you want to. These images don't show up for all users, so I would not recommend using them. They're generally not very consistent. So if you want to have an image for your templates, go ahead and do that here. But they're not automatically generated. They don't show you a pretty preview of what you have. They're just a nice to have if you have nothing but extra time. So that, my friends, is the nutshells of creating, updating and editing templates. Any questions on this piece so far? Mariah, do we have any questions in the chat that is relevant to this topic? Anything like that I'd be happy to tackle right now. Otherwise I'm going to move on in our little journey here. I'm going to say that we pretty much we got creating, editing and deleting down like that's, that's pretty decent applying templates we talked a little bit about. But I'll give some more demos and I see a question here in the chat. Victor is asking can I template dashboards 2 that is a solid no, unfortunately at this point in time, Templates, we thought templates were going to come to Dashboards a few months ago when there was a major update to Dashboards released and it never quite happened. In fact, let me just pull over in this demo account what a Dashboard might look like. Your options when it comes to templates for Dashboards is to duplicate. That's about all you've got going for you at this point. ClickUp does now have templates for themselves, like they have templates you can use, but you cannot create templates for this reason I thought it would happen very soon and it just hasn't. I would love to see if ClickUp's watching this. Hey, this would be a good thing to roll out soon, but we've been waiting a hot minute for it, Victor, and it hasn't yet arrived. So maybe, maybe in 2024 that'd be nice. But no templates for Dashboards yet. Now the next thing we want to talk through is applying templates. We've already kind of touched on this, but I'll go through it in a few more details. There are four ways to apply templates. Manual, automation, public, and form. And I'm just going to go ahead and demo what that looks like. So heading back to our beautiful test area. And guys, if you are a beginner, this is for you advanced users. Hang with me. We're getting to the advanced stuff as we build up. To go ahead and apply a template we need to create. Well, there's a few ways for a task. My recommended way for creating a task with a template manually is by first creating your task. First, do not use this button. I'll tell you why later. Create the task first. To apply a template to that task, go inside it, go up here, locate the template you want, in this case my newly renamed Kentucky template, and then use that template. That is how you can apply the template to your task. Now, you'll notice if you were attentive in that flow I just went through, it said in the bottom corner, a pending template. This is with ClickUp and task templates. ClickUp is weird again. It appends information, and what that means is it'll add information to your task based on the template. But if there's information already there, such as in this case right here, I had the task name. The task name didn't change, even though the template was called Kentucky. What the heck? That's because that appending is happening. ClickUp is only adding fields. It's overwriting some stuff, but some fields it will not overwrite, which includes the task title. The appending processing ClickUp is. It's not an easy one to just memorize. I would strongly recommend folks who are getting heavy into task templates have open the ClickUp help article on task templates because it's really funky. Certain things will merge like assignees. Certain things will not get replaced like task titles. Certain things will combine, certain things won't combine. And it can really cause chaos for you if you're getting into the more advanced strategies we'll be talking about later on. So when it comes to task templates, that's how you apply them. But be mindful that they append, they merge on top, they don't replace your information, which is why Kentucky is not the name of this task. For other types of templates, such as a list or folder or a space template, the process is a little different. For those ones, you actually cannot apply a template to an existing thing. Weird, right? Yeah. So instead you need to actually click the plus button. The Only plus button you really want to be hitting is this one right here. And in this case you're going to click Use Template where you can select what exactly it is you want to create from a template. Other than that, the process is quite similar. I might check something like a list template right here. My client list. Use the template. I can rename this template if I want. Like this. I can choose where I want this to be created. In this case, I'll put it inside this folder. I'm going to import all of my stuff. We'll talk about dates later on. I can choose whether or not to bring in archive stuff. Almost always you'll choose no and I'll click Use Template. That is how you can create a task, a list, a folder, a space, space, all the same thing. Just go up here to that plus button and go to Templates. There's a plus button here, there's a plus button here. Any of your plus buttons use those templates and that's how you can create those higher in the hierarchy pieces. Is it weird that the task creation and the hierarchy creation have different flows? Yes. Can you survive it? I know you can. It's just a little getting used to. Now I want to check in on the chat. I see some questions coming in. Stephanie's and varieties here. Whoever we want to do first. Here we go. Stephanie, when sharing a template with the public, can they modify it? Great question, Stephanie. I'm going to go inside and this is a good excuse for me to demonstrate how to find your templates again, I'm going to go inside the space area. Templates, browse templates. Let's find one of these, such as remapping coffee, whatever this is. When it comes to sharing, there are two categories. Workspace sharing and public sharing. This is named different things throughout the interface. So if you're confused, it's okay. This stuff is giving full access to people. So as soon as I share this with myself here, that myself person is able to change all of it. Public sharing is different. All public sharing does is allow people to make a copy of what you created. It's similar to allowing people to copy your Google Docs or copy your PDFs. Once they copy it, Stephanie, they can do anything they want with it. They can resell it, they can modify it meaningfully, they can rename it, they can save it as their own template and sell it on their own website. There are absolutely no restrictions with what happens once somebody creates a copy of that. Unlike unlike other kind of marketplace systems clickups, sharing thing right now the infrastructure is very, very open, for better or worse. So definitely be mindful. This is one reason why, and I probably shouldn't talk about this, but whatever. Selling templates as a business revenue generator is something to be very, very wary of given the public sharing and the IP issues with ClickUp right now. So yeah, I hope that answers your original question. Let me know if I did not if there's a follow up for Feel free. Oop, here we go. Double checking. If I have a task and add details to the description, then turn it into a template. If I apply the template, it won't. Okay, good question. So let's slow this one down. This essentially is a question about task templates. If we could leave that question up on the screen, that would be helpful just because I'm going to reference back to it. Thank you. Let's demonstrate what this looks like. Let's say I have my task and I have a description. Let's just go in here. I'm going to create a new task. Stephanie's task. Stephanie has a question. We have this in the description, right? I'm going to create this task and it's there. It's in the description, right? No issues. What happens if I apply a template on top of this? Well, because we know ClickUp templates append and we know if we looked at the help article, it's a little bit dorky, but descriptions are one of those areas in ClickUp that when we apply a template they merge on top. So if there was a description in our template and a description in our task right here, they would merge together. What they would look like is we would have our original description and it'll come in with a little divider. Whoops. If I can type and then the templates Description. This kind of layout of having a bar dividing two sections is what happens when we append things that both have descriptions. This behavior of having a template on top of existing stuff is different for every field though, Stephanie. So assignee behaves differently than Due Date, behaves differently than description, behaves differently than custom fields. Hell, even the type of field you have, whether it's a label field or checkbox field, changes how it behaves. So I hope that answers your question. That's a really good one. And anybody else who's getting into the intricacies of task templates, these are details to watch. I see some other questions here in the chat. Variety. I have avoided creating task templates. First of all, Variety. I'm glad you were able to get back on the stream. Sorry for that headache at the beginning here because I don't understand the value. What elements can you save in a task template? Task templates can save absolutely everything in them. Descriptions, tasks, links to SOPs, dependencies, but variety. I think as I go through some of the use cases later on this will really make a lot more sense because I can you show show you some real world applications. So we'll come back to this one, I think. Last question I see here in this queue is Victor, I don't like the colors and templates in the ClickUp ui. I wish I could have pastel or muted colors. That's not competing with the essential stuff. Fair point. I mean you can change your theme color here for folks that are interested in your your label colors. But ClickUp has a pretty defined vibe. I think I just saw on Instagram they have a ClickUp space ski suit. I mean I don't think ClickUp is necessarily the brand that's going to give you some pre default pastels, if you know what I mean. That might be too far from their vibe. All right, so I'm going to keep moving on here and let's move on to our next example which is how we can go ahead and use templates inside automations and forms. So we talked about manual and we talked about public templates here. What about these other ones? Well, let's go through them real quick. This is going to be kind of the final leg of our beginner tour here. If we want to have a template being used by an automation, we need to have an automation. To do that, we need to find our automations option, make sure this click app is on and open this up. Now right off the bat I want to state kind of an obvious piece here. ClickUp's automations work with tasks. ClickUp automates tasks. Boom. Right? So if you want to have your automations create things other than tasks, this automation area is going to be a little too limited. Remember we already talked about how you can have templates in all other areas of the hierarchy, right? Folders, lists, space, views. Well, because these automations right here work with tasks, you need to be using a task related template. Okay, so I'll give that caveat. This approach I'm going to show you right here is for task templates. In this case, what we can do is set up any kind of automation we want. One of the most popular ones is something like for a task, when a task is created right here, then apply a template. This is the most common automation that I think Everybody who used templates will probably end up using. In this case, I'm going to use my Kentucky template. Whenever a task is created by any of these sources, then apply a template. Create. This is magical, right? And what this is going to do is ensure those templates are applied automatically. One thing I want to call your attention to, which is relatively new in the ClickUp interface is up here. This is telling me where this automation applies. In this case, this automation is only going to be doing this magic on. This is a list. List. Okay. So if I go over here to list one and I create a task, nothing's going to happen. No magic, no automations, no nothing. Because there aren't fun automations happening on list 1. The magical automations are happening over on this is a list. So let's go over to this is a list. In this case I'm going to create a task. In this case I'm going to name it after. Who just put in the chat? Victor. It's Victor's task. When I create a task on this magical list, do you see those subtasks automatically pop in? Yeah. That's because our automation is doing the magic and applying that template for us right here. This is all based on that Kentucky template we did earlier on. That's how you can use automations to apply a template. Now a little advanced teaser here for folks who are sitting here and be like, yeah, I know about task templates, Leila, I know about automations. If you wanted to use automations higher in the hierarchy, this is a use case for like, variety where you're wondering, where could I use templates? Earlier on we had a question come in about how do I use templates for my bookkeeping clients. One of the most common ways to use templates for service providers is by creating templates higher in the hierarchy or just a very detailed task where you might have something like this. I was actually just talking to my brother last night about doing something like this for his business. Let me show you an example. Wedding client. My brother performs for weddings and so I was talking to him about how, wow, it would be so great if all the things you do for delivering that wedding client could be saved and reused. In this case it might be send invoice, confirm show up time, confirm dress code, whatever he has to do. What we can then do is save this as a template so that the next time we have a wedding client, I don't have to remember the 50 things I need to do for every wedding and hope I do them. Instead, I load this template and I know everything I need to do is there waiting for me now. Layla, you said you're going to get to an advanced thing. How is this advanced? Here's the advanced part. If you want to be Fancy Ninja, you can take these templates and use outside automations. Things that can work with more than just ClickUp tasks and create them automagically. Common tools for this are called Zapier and Make. Those are the two big ones. There's also other players out there, but you can set up those tools to say something like, every time I create a folder in Google Drive called this, you know, wedding client, then create a folder in ClickUp with the same name. Or you could say every time a calendly booking comes in for a new wedding consultation, then create a list for my new wedding client with the same name. That combination of connecting to outside tools, doing way more than what you can just do in ClickUp Automations, that's the magical stuff that works higher in the hierarchy. Okay, that is that one. The last little use case when it comes to forms. And this is one that may also tie into this wedding client example is forms. I've converted some people to Fancy Ninja when we look at form forms. Forms are commonly used by client services businesses, but really anybody that works with other people, that wants information to be organized. Let me show you what this looks like. We've got forms here and we can have a task name all these other things. If you don't use forms and your plan allows you to use forms, I know not all plans do, unfortunately. This is a great use case. We could have a form such as client intake. Maybe I use this for every new bookkeeping client. I ask them, hey, give me your books from last year. Tell me when you need your books done by. Tell me, blah, blah, blah, blah, whatever. Our questions are how many team members you have? And every time my client fills out this form, I want it to automatically apply my template for serving bookkeeping clients. Let's just say it's a task template. The fourth and final way we can apply, apply and use templates is right over here in the corner. Very underutilized feature. I can actually say, hey, every time this form is submitted, apply my Kentucky template to the submission. Okay, so I'm going to go ahead here and fill this in. I'm going to say, okay, Fancy Ninja, guys. You named it in the chat. Fancy Ninja. Fancy Ninja Name here. 50 members. My due date is today and my attachment. I don't have an attachment. Shoot. Okay, let's Just get rid of that real quick. Optional. There we go. Darn it. It wiped out my stuff. All right. Fancy Ninja again. Fancy Jancy Ninja. Sure, we'll go with it. And now it's asking me for attachment again. Gosh. Come on. ClickUp Bugging out on me today. We will go through this one more time or I will lose my mind. Back here. One final chance. Layla. Fancy Ninja. Nin Cha. Fancy. Sure. Create that task. What I'm trying to show you is not that I'm unable to spell words properly, but it's that when I submit this form, we'll see a template was magically applied. We see these dependencies and this weird, funky stuff, these relationships, these subtasks all being added automatically when that form was submitted. Why this is powerful is you can now have other people create your tasks for you. Back to Variety's question before, like where I use this. A lot of people have project managers whose whole job it is is to create tasks. We get a new client, we need to create the client list. We have a change order request. We need to itemize all the things we need to do to change that H vac order. Well, what if a human being didn't have to spend their day creating 40 tasks for other people? What if the form could be filled in by whoever knows that the issue is there and you 100% know that you are able to then have the correct template with all the correct steps applied to that template without spelling errors. I mean, maybe I planned this whole thing. My inability to spell while typing sideways is a great example of why these templates can be time saving. I don't need to be reliant on naming my Finja Jancy. Instead, I can just have that template apply properly. All right, I am going to move on now to our next stage, which is just a little bit further into the use case piece. Before we go into some advanced tips, any questions that are burning at this point? It looks like the chat you. You guys are humoring me. Thank you. So let's just. Let's dig in to why use templates? We've talked a little bit about this already. We talked about it from the sense of not having to have your Jancy finches by accident because you don't have to worry about typos. We've talked about it because you no longer need to have your project manager just sitting there all day, just typing out a list of tasks that they're memorizing. You also don't have to be copying and pasting things from Google Docs. That's great. But let me go into some more details. A common reason, the number one reason, which we've already hit on a little bit, to have a template is to avoid the headache of recurring work. Reoccurring work is different than recurring work for folks who find English confusing, including native speakers in English. The difference between recurring and reoccurring is consistency. Let me actually doodle this because I think that'll be fun. Recurring means something like every 12 hours, this thing happens. It's recurring, it's a set cadence. It goes boom, boom, boom, right? Reoccurring means it repeats, but the interval might change. Sometimes it's 12 hours, sometimes it's 40 hours, sometimes it's 80 hours, sometimes it's a year. That difference. Whenever you have a situation, that is the second category where it's reoccurring. Templates are going to be your best friend. Ooh, sorry, screen. They're going to be your best friend. Because reoccurring is what most client work is. You serve H Vac clients. Every time you go to install a new system, you do the same steps, but you don't know when the next client is going to come. You hope it's once a month, but maybe it's once every two weeks. Once it's once every five weeks. You can't just have a recurring due date on those because you don't know when it's going to happen. But when it does happen, you want to be ready. In those cases, recurring or in those cases, templates are your best friend because they spare your memory the effort of memorizing all of the steps. If you serve clients in any way. Templates, my friend, you need them. Very rarely am I like prescriptive about features, folks, but I am prescriptive about this feature for anyone who serves clients. Next up, budget automations. I have a whole YouTube video. I think it's called something like Automation for cheapskates. About this second piece. But the second reason to use automations, the second reason to use templates, if I can speak, is because when you use templates, you can save money. Not just the time and labor and all that stuff we already hit on, but because when you use templates, you can get automations for free. In ClickUp, for example, you saw before how we added that template to automatically add a template right here whenever a form was created or submitted, right? Normally, if we didn't use this form, we would want to create an automation to do that, right? We could accomplish the same thing. We would just say when task is created, then apply template. But here's the thing, you're charged for automations. Don't tell ClickUp, but the form option is free as long as it's on your plan. So as a way to save money on both the labor costs and on things like automations, on checking errors, you'll save money in general by using these templates. The second kind of cheeky thing, which is a bit more advanced, is that when you use templates, you unlock more options for automations than you would if you didn't use templates. A common use case. I'm just going to go in here and show this is this one. I can't tell you how many times we've had people in process driven foundations who are so on it. They're like, I am ready to systemize my shit. And one of the ways I want to do that is by having checklists for everything. I want to say whenever a status gets to my in progress status, I want a checklist being added. And they go in here and they're like, checklist nothing, damn it. There is no way in this case with automations to have checklists be added automatically. But there's a secret. If you create a template where all that's in it is that one checklist, guess what happens? You go back here, you click apply a template and your checklist only template can be selected, which allows you to have more variety of automations than other users would. I've used this in a lot of different use cases in my own process and it is a real time saver. It allows you to work around some of the limitations of ClickUp in a powerful way. So budget automations right there, the last reason to use automations, and this is one that we used to recommend more so in our how to click up question course. And if you guys haven't heard of that, just heads up. I don't just produce videos on YouTube. I actually have courses and programs that allow you to skip watching me for hours and hours on YouTube and just get like the here's what you need to know stuff. But in our how to ClickUp course, we used to actually recommend this to people and I still kind of do. But you can use templates to alleviate the fear of your team for using features they're afraid of. This is a little niche, but the most common time I would recommend this is when your team is afraid of setting up things like recurrences. Recurrences used to be much harder in the interface. They're still not Great, but they're better. And the process of having a new team member who's low tech coming in here and figuring out this freaking crazy menu was prohibitive for a lot of teams. So what I used to tell teams to do and is still a valuable strategy here is I would tell people to create a task where all that's in it is the recurrence and then save this as a template, which I actually already think I have one in here actually. Yeah, they're right there. Save it as a template by the name of the recurrence, in this case daily, weekly, monthly, whatever. These templates, all they contain are pre made settings that are pain in the butt to set up by having them saved here, your team member who is terrified of figuring out recurrences or, or dependencies or whatever the scary feature is, you give them a shortcut, you say, hey, I want everything to have a recurrence, but you're terrified of doing that. So don't worry, I've made it even easier. Just apply this thing to it and it'll automatically apply the scary feature. So that is my fourth little or my third little reason three and a half reason for why templates are powerful. They get you past feature fear both for yourself and for your team. You set them up once, maybe by following along with a tutorial from some crazy chick on the Internet. Once you save it, you don't have to relearn it again. It's just there. It's your little cheat code, your little hack for going past it. Variety. This is absolutely going to be recorded. You can come back to this link, share this link with a friend. It'll still be here for you to revisit with some timestamps. Now, next common question here is how do I push this even further? Like maybe I've got this stuff down. I. I'm using templates. Everything you said so far, I'm like, yeah, yeah, yeah, but how do I push this further? What are some of the advanced strategies in this case? I'm going to be going into some nerdy shorthand here. If you are someone who is a beginner in ClickUp, I just want to say thank you so much for joining us. Do not feel obligated to stay for these next 15 minutes or so because this stuff is going to be advanced and I'm just going to be going through it at an advanced pace. Of course I'd love to have you stay, but let's go into it some advanced tricks when it comes to templates beyond the ones that I've already shared here is first stacking. If you are someone who is an operations manager, a project manager, this is kind of necessary learning. For the rest of you, it's just a nice to have advanced tip. Stacking templates is one of my oldest strategies. I put on YouTube around templates. You can watch a whole video where I covered that. It's a clip, clunky old video, but it's still good. But I'm going to give you a refresher here. The key behind this stacking template strategy is acknowledging that templates in ClickUp append. Right. I've talked about that already. Nothing new. But here's the magic. You can use this appending thing to your advantage. Here's what that might look like. And this is going to be a client example. So again, that bookkeeper that we were talking about earlier, this is something you will probably want to use. Let's say I have a client intake here and I have two different types of offers. Let's say something like, let's add a new field. Anyone else, like, kind of over the new custom field manager? I'm not the biggest fan. All right, let's do labels. Offers. Interested in. Actually, we'll just do interested in. I'm gonna have a field for interested in. So then my clients fill out this form. They can tell me what offers they want to buy from me. So they can be service A, service B and so on. Service A. Actually, let me give these a real name. We'll call these Tax Prep and we'll call the other one QuickBooks Online Audit. And then maybe we'll also have another one for other. This custom field manager. Yeah, Victor, I'm. Yuck. Not great. But anyway, we have this field here. We're going to create it. If ClickUp permits us, it will actually load into this area. Yes, perfect. Okay, so we have that there by itself. I haven't taught you anything interesting here. This is just me adding a field to a form that now has these options. They can select one, they can select three, they can select whatever. How this becomes powerful is when we create templates that are meant to be stacked on top of each other. Let me actually doodle this because I think that'll be faster than visually creating them all. So here's what that might look like. Move my microphone out of my face. We're going to create one template that is our normal client. No matter what they're buying, we want to have certain things happen. We want to invoice them, we want to send them an Onboarding email. We want to set up a project in Google Drive. We want to say thank you for paying your invoice, whatever. Then we're going to create a second template with just the steps that are relevant to a given service. In this case, it could be something like the tax prep piece. Maybe that's step number five, number six, number seven. Then if someone wants tax and a QuickBooks audit, I'll put QuickBooks right here. That'll be a third template and that'll just have step seven or eight, nine and ten. And if people want all of that and they also want something other, like that other box that we had on there, that'll be a fourth template. And all that will have is one task called review details, something that's just telling us to take manual action. We are creating four different templates for one client service business with the intention that we can then mix and match them. So we could say one person might come in and they get a number one plus a number two. Others might get a number one and a number three. Some might get 1, 2 and 3, some might 1 and 4, 1 plus 3 plus 4. We can do any combination of these templates, creating dozens of different permutations of client service flows by creating four fractional partial templates. How this works in ClickUp is similar to what we saw before, where we actually have our ClickUp account set up. We create the partial templates. In this case we would have add on for service one, we'd have step two, step three, step four, we'd have another template for baseline client experience. That'd be step one, Step two, whatever. What Sarah put in the chat of we're at a fast food restaurant is exactly what I want you all to take away. This is the side of fries approach is what I used to call it to clients. I first used this with a property management company. We ended up having a form with 20 different variables. Are they a veteran? Are they not? Are they in? Are they buying a single family home or multi family home? Are they living in the place? Are they not living in the place? Every single option resulted in a different step being added to the task. And as a result, when someone filled in that form, we got just the tasks that that person needed, which could have been 150 tasks or three tasks. And that is the power of stacking templates on top of each other. Once we create all of these fractional templates like you see these here, we'd save all of these and we set up one automation per situation. So for example, if task is created, I'll show you just one of them here. There it is. Task is created and the source is a form and the interest custom field. Oops, Custom field. Because that makes sense. I have to click on it twice. Interested in contains tax prep. Then apply the tax prep template. And we would com and we would do that for every single variable, triggering the new relevant template to append to pile on top of our task. I warned you this was an advanced one, but hopefully this one makes sense to those of you who are ready for this kind of stuff. Moving on to the next example, if I. If I may, we've got a few more here. We also have the option to remap. This one is maybe a little bit more accessible. Maybe I should have put this one first. But remapping is referring to taking the dates you put in a template and shifting them down the calendar. Okay, so I'm going to go back and we're going to go into this one and I'm going to go back to one of the templates we looked at before that we've named Utah and Kentucky and all that. Here we have a task, parent, task right here. Due tomorrow. Subtask, Due yesterday. Subtask to due today. All right, got that. We're going to save this as a template. I'm going to save this as a template and I'm just going to name it Variety, because Variety is the most recent person who talked in the chat. Thanks, Variety. We're going to save that template now because there are dates in this template. Date, date, date. When I load this template, I'm just going to go ahead create that task. I'm going to create and open it. If I wanted to apply that template, a magical option appears that will not appear. I'm going to move my face. Thank you for calling that out, Victor. A magical option appears that would not appear if I did not have dates in my original copy. So in this case, I'm going to go ahead and look for varieties. Name in here. Perfect. There you are. Variety. I'm going to click use that template and we see this option. If you do not have dates in your original, you will not see this. But if you do this Magical choice is now available to you. There's a little help article here on how it works, but it's a bit confusing. Essentially all it does is it shifts things on your calendar just like a secretary would. If you said, hey, this project takes three days and you want to start on Friday, a secretary would do the math and say, okay, you want to start on Friday. They would shift the dates based on what they know is normal. ClickUp will do the same thing for you. So going in here, I remap the dates. Remember those original dates we saw? I'm going to shift these dates to be one week later, the 15th of December. Use that template. Wait as we go and look at the new dates that came in, 15th and so on. We'll actually get that to load properly. I've got an automation running in the background as well. So the original dates were tomorrow, yesterday and today. The new dates are one week later, December 15, and so on and so forth. They're all moved relative to that date. I actually need to turn off this automation so it's not firing at the same time, but that's okay. Do you see how that shifts backwards? The cool thing is, for our bookkeepers and for others in the audience, we can do the same thing with lists. We could have a whole list of every step we need to do for a wedding client. In fact, weddings are a perfect example. We might have do this, do that. That's not how you spell do this other thing, wedding day and so on. Maybe our whole process ends at the wedding day. We've got all these dates that go into the project, and everything's based on when that wedding day is. We can save this as a template, and then when we load that template, we can remap the whole list. We can say, hey, we know the last date is the wedding day. So when we go ahead and have a template with dates in there like this one here, I can say, hey, remap everything based on the last date in that list, which I know is the wedding day, being whenever this wedding is. Maybe the wedding's on April 26th. Shift everything around for me based on on that date. Okay? That is the power of remapping. And notice we are able to skip weekends when it comes to this particular layout. Use the template. Same thing works at other layers. But that is the power of remapping. This is one of those advanced strategies that's probably the most accessible. But if you are a project manager, this is not optional for you project managers. You need to know this inside and out. It is a game changer. All right, last two advanced strategies, because I know I'm rounding out the hour here, but I just think this is such good stuff. And yes, Victor, I'm so glad to hear that the next one are templates. This is one that inside our course foundations. I am, like, harping people on. We have a little lesson on it. And I wish I could just have a whole module just dedicated to these templates. Because view templates are one of those advanced tricks that take your ClickUp setup from being like medium. Right, Medium. I think we saw in the chat Medium XP to advanced xp. People don't realize this, but one of the only areas in ClickUp where you can retroactively change things is view templates. And I'm going to show you what that looks like. This is a bit advanced again, but bear with me. Let's say I really like to see things in a board view and I'm going to move my head so you can actually see them. I like board views like this and I'm really particular. I like to have things in a board view and I'm going to assign one of these to somebody else. What do we have? Yellow Squad. I like things in a board view. I liked it grouped by, let's say assignee. And I like to have things with swim lanes based on due date. This one's a little funky if you guys haven't used this before. I love the swimlanes feature. Here's what that looks like. It means I've got all of my dates here and I'm able to have things by. So it's. It's left to right is assignee. Top to bottom is date. See how those all work? And they all happen to be doing the future so they look a little funky. Let me move some of these closer and you can see what it looks like. Okay. This is how I like to see work always. Now what I can do is rather than having to recreate this every single time for every client I have because I always want to see it this way, I can create a view template. This is different and doesn't necessarily work with folder templates. Don't ask me why, but I'm going to go ahead and template this view. Who just talked? Stephanie. Stephanie, this is your template. Congratulations. You may already have one. So I'm going to call this Stephanie 2. Just to be safe, I'm going to save this template and I'm going to go into a very little known feature called my space settings. I'm going to skip these annoying pop ups that are going to make me lose my mind today. So stressed. Just kidding. Go to all space settings and I'm going to default settings for views. Almost no one uses this feature. I hope that changes after today. People in this area, you are greeted with a whole lot of nothing. Honestly, I never want you to touch this feature. Don't change them. It's. It's annoying. If you do, never turn these on unless you absolutely need to. Instead, what I'm looking for you to do is go over here, ignore this junk, go to this one and go create your Stephanie 2. In this case, create your favorite views like this view. Whatever your favorite layouts that you always want, add them in here. In this case, anytime there's a new view or for any time there's a required view, my choice. I can make sure that my Stephanie layout is always applied. I'll show you what that looks like. Save changes I have my wedding client. I love having my things in a board view, right? So I'm going to go over here. I'm going to create a board view. Go ahead. There we go. Boom. Look at that layout. That's exactly like how I like to see things. That is the magic of default view templates. It's a niche feature, but when you need it. Oh my God. Does it save you time from having to reset them up? Defaults and when you just create a folder template or a list template by itself, it does not pull these things in. People don't realize it. They're frustrated. They're creating it all manually. Beating your head against a wall. Skip it. Use this little trick. I included in Foundations for a reason. I'm like, come on Foundations people like if you're in our program, you got to know this. But there is that. The extra cool thing is let's just say I decide I change this. I rather things grouped by priority flags because I just changed how I like it. I want it to see by these flags instead. So I'm going to save this view. Update existing template Sorry Stephanie, you're now getting an upgrade. Stephanie 3.0 Next Save template as soon as I do that, all of my other Stephanie views will be updated as well. Unlike everything else in ClickUp, this is the one area where information will go proactively. Okay, just checking in on the chat here. Sorting things in clickups UI is visually weird. Moving things into it and add a folder stacks in a space. I'm like where's the indicator that I'm moving it? Very weird. Yes. I don't have any answer for you other than looking for those highlighted colors. But yes, it is hard to see. Stephanie never noticed that tab. No one does. No one uses it because they put so much emphasis on that required views piece that I never want people to use. It's generally a waste of your time. Ignore that junk. I feel like sometimes ClickUp doesn't know. Like they don't know what's the cool stuff sometimes, so they hide the cool stuff away. This is awesome. This is generally gonna cause problems, so ignore it. For more on Views, join us inside our courses. Because I go into a little bit more of a tangent on this one. All right, Layla, you're getting down a rabbit hole, running out of time. Let's keep moving. That's Views. Next one last one is the automation hacks. Now I actually already sort of talked about this because I tend to go down rabbit holes and I got ahead of myself. I've already given away one of these exciting pieces, actually both of these exciting pieces previously. So humor me here. The reason to use templates with automations is because they can save you actions. Like I talked about previously, Rather than having to use an automation to apply a template to a new task, you can use a form to do it automatically. You can also to just drill into this further, save automations by consolidating them. If you wanted to have say an assignee be added and you wanted the date to be set by default using things the goofy way, let's just say I want to have this date be three days after it triggers. This would use two automations. Boom, boom. Say goodbye. Sweet, sweet money. Because my automation usage is going down now, if I used one template instead of two automations, I I am able to skip that whole thing by instead using one template. So let's just look at what that looks like over here in usage. Go to manage. Rather than these two actions each costing me one automation usage, I'm going to apply one template which could contain hundreds of actions. Actually, maybe not hundreds, but a lot. And that will save me time, money and headache. So that is what we've got going on there. Moving on to our very last one which I already talked about is checklists by default inside of ClickUp Automations, you have no chance of applying a checklist with a template. Causes a lot of headaches. Skip that headache. Use a template. Your template can contain only a checklist and work perfectly for giving you that solution. I know I went out of order. I ruined the surprise on these ones. Gosh, sorry guys. So there is that. And I did the wrong color too. I'm a mess today. All right, next up, next up, our final piece here is just an obligatory reminder about systems versus software. Then I want to dive into some Q and A while time allows. I know we're a little bit long, but I'm not going to leave your answers. I'm not going to leave your questions unanswered. But the last piece is just all this stuff we're talking about is software related stuff and you know me, I love me some software. It's a huge time saver, it can be really great. But your software alone is not going to fix your core problems. Unless your problem is you keep typing Finja Ninja or whatever the heck I was typing earlier. Unless that's your problem, templates will probably not be the cure all. If you really want to use templates, you need to have the prep in place. That prep, as you might have guessed by the name of this channel, is your process. I have so many videos on the channel and about defining what your steps are for serving a client, for defining your onboarding, for defining how you Prepare for a YouTube live stream by like making sure your alarm phone doesn't go off when you can't hear it. Sorry about that. I have all these steps and if you don't know what those steps are, templating them, it's going to be useless. Talking to my brother about this last night, it's like brother, like you can temp, you can set up these automations, you can set up ClickUp, you can set up smartsuite, you can set up Notion, it's all great. But if you don't know what your steps are, what is the point in being able to copy and paste nonsense? Exactly. We don't want to copy and paste nonsense. We want to copy and paste a proven process you're really proud of and are able to make better over time. And that's the process piece of it. There are quite a few videos on my channel you can watch to get that piece in order and that'll help you with this other stuff of knowing what to put into your template. And if you want more help, I think before we go to Q and I have to point out my program is opening on Monday. Kind of excited about it, Bigger, better, so much fun. It's going to be like a whole party next week. But if you want to get your processes in order to find what they are, put them in ClickUp, get them templated and all of that. That's kind of what we do here for a living. I'm not just a person in a box on YouTube, so there's that option for you as well. You don't have to figure it out on your own, but rants about process beside tell me in the chat, do you have any other lingering question.
