Update HubSpot data like a pro (Automatic CRM Update)

Veronica from Surf shows how to automate HubSpot updates by connecting it to LinkedIn with the Surf Chrome extension. Keep your CRM data current without manual work.
You know that awkward moment when you're reaching out to a prospect from your target company only to realize they no longer work there? When you email someone and realize they've gotten promoted like a year ago. Double ouch. And the worst part is that you only have yourself to blame because you clearly have not updated your CRM in a pretty long time. You know what? I get it. It's not the most fun thing to do. But in this video, I'm going to show you the quickest and the simplest way to automate this whole process so you don't have to update your CRM data manually. And this can be done with a simple integr of your HubSpot CRM with LinkedIn. My name's Veronica from Surf, and let's dive in. All right, so the quickest and the simplest way to keep your CRM up to date at all times is to let Surf do it for you. Surf is a Chrome extension that connects your CRM to LinkedIn. And the way that it will be able to update your CRM automatically is it will scan your CRM data and it will scan LinkedIn profiles of your contacts that are present inside your CRM. This happens on a daily basis and basically Surf will compare the data that it's season two platforms and eliminate any discrepancies. So to get started, you'll need to install the Chrome extension. Go to surf.com, it's completely free. You press Start for free and here Surf will ask you to download the extension. You press Download Extension. This will open up the Chrome web store for you. So you click Add to Chrome and Add extension. Now, Surf has been installed and added to Chrome and you need to select your CRM. In our case, it's HubSpot. So click HubSpot and you'll need to connect your account and give all the necessary permissions for Surf to be able to connect your CRM with LinkedIn. So here, choosing the account. So here we have Antoine's profile. Let's say he is my prospect and you'll notice that his profile on LinkedIn looks slightly different. We have a new field embedded into his LinkedIn profile. It's called the Add to CRM section. And from here I will be able to push contacts directly to HubSpot without having to go to HubSpot. Copy, Paste, Copy his information from here, paste it into HubSpot and do all of that manually. So let me quickly show you how that works. I just need to press Add as Contact and wait for Surf to do its Magic. There we go. While it's transferring the data of Antoine into my CRM, it's also looking for his contact details using our enrichment cascade, which basically integrates a bunch of different enrichment tools into one waterfall to make sure that all the contacts that we're sourcing are legit. So, just like that, with one click of a button, we've created his contact record inside HubSpot and transferred all of his data from LinkedIn. Let's verify that everything's been transferred successfully. Just click on this little button that says view in HubSpot. And there we go. Here is his contact record with all of the data. Now for the juicy parts that you've been waiting for. CRM updates. Let's go. Basically, Surf scans your CRM on a daily basis, and whenever there's anything out of date, it will signal for you. So in the Surf notch on the right of your LinkedIn interface, this little notch right here, you'll notice that the Surf icon has a little red button, and when you hover over it, it says that Contact Updates has a little notification for you. You click on it, and here you will see all of the contacts that need to be updated inside your CRM. And I have 300 CRM contacts to update, so I cannot jud for not updating your CRM because my team and I have been slacking a little bit. But you know what? We're going to fix it ASAP right now, and I'm not going to do anything manual. So here's how it works, all right? Just pick a contact where an update is necessary, hover over it, and click Update updated version of the contact. In my case, it's the job title and the company of my contact. So here, Surf will propose new information to be updated. I can verify if that's correct, and if I have no objections, I just click Update Contact. And just like that, it's been successfully updated inside my CRM. I get a little notification right here. And basically, I just need to go through all of these propositions and verify that everything's correct without having to actually look for the new information to be replaced inside my CRM. So once you've updated all of your contacts, you can sit back, relax, chill, and focus on selling. And Surf will continue scanning your CRM daily, but I recommend that you check back in every 48 hours to see if any data has gone out of date. So there you have it, the quickest and the simplest way to update your CRM. So before we go, tell me one thing. Do you remember the last time you checked your CRM data to see if it's even valid, if contacts have changed jobs, emails, changed, anything like that. If you don't remember the last time you've done that, then it's time to download Surf for free. I will link it in the description box of this video so you can check it out. It's free for 14 days for you to try, and when you do, please come back to this video and let me know how many contacts were out of date inside your CRM. I'm really curious. I had like 300 or something so let's hope you're not worse than me. Good luck updating your CRM and please give this video a thumbs up if it was helpful.
