George B. Thomas argues that companies waste overseas talent by confining them to low-value work. He hired skilled people from Ukraine, the Philippines, and India who became executives and specialists: an EA became a CTO, another became director of automations, one became a marketing director, another a top Google Ads strategist.

One of the biggest mistakes that we're making in North America and Western Europe is assuming the only people that are capable of doing high value work are in North America or Western Europe. I don't know if it's as bad in Europe, but I can tell you in the States, they like to outsource, but they only do bpo, they only do grunt work. It's like, oh, you can do data entry, you can do research, you can do cold calling, cold outreach, whatever, whatever. And it's such hubris to think that we're the only smart people in the world. I have found the most amazing resources internationally. I hired a young man, he's actually going to school in Poland. I hired him for $1,000 a month. He's my EA, he's now Solutions 8 CTO. He's Ukrainian, he was going to school in Poland. The war happened in Ukraine. We brought him over on an H1B visa and he's one example of many. I hired another gal, she's in the Philippines. She was my ea. She's now our director of automations. Our marketing director is from the Philippines. One of the highest ranked Google Ads strategists I have is a young man from India. These are resources that are inaccessible to anybody who's closed minded in their thinking.
