This is a YouTube video titled "What is an SOP in business?" created in August 2024. The content is a monologue explaining the concept of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in business, comparing them to recipes, and promoting an annual event hosted by ProcessDriven to help people write SOPs. There is a single speaker providing educational and promotional information about SOPs.
Standard Operating Procedures, or sop. You might also hear these called SOP or sops. This is just a business term for a recipe, a recipe for a specific thing you're trying to have happen in your business. Just like you'd have a recipe for red velvet cake, this is a recipe for how to send an invoice. SOPs are often confused with processes, but I have a video up here explaining the key differences in case it's confusing you as well. We Also here at ProcessDriven have an annual kind of event each year where we help people write sops. It's a really fun event, surprisingly, despite the topic. If you want info on that, you can find information in the description below. We have it every September, so it's right around the corner. Love to see you there.
