A leader doesn't need all the answers. Set clear intentions, communicate expectations, and be transparent about what you don't know. Your team will follow the direction, not the certainty.
Just setting and communicating clear intentions and expectations of your people and kind of bringing them along as much as you can. Sometimes that transparency, to the certain extent that you're able to provide it, and even sometimes that vulnerability. Sometimes my favorite things when I get on a call with the team is like, I don't know all the answers, but we're gonna figure it out. And that's kind of that mindset of just being really clear about that. My expectations here is that we don't know all the things, but we're working together to figure it out or kind of all the other things that we've talked about today. Really leaning into the why and the what is a good kind of guide of how to just lead if you're a CEO or in a leadership position, just like lead your team and really make sure people feel like they know what's expected of them and how they can participate and grow.
