This is a YouTube video titled "Where should I store SOPs?" containing a monologue or presentation from March 31, 2023, discussing best practices for storing standard operating procedures (SOPs) in a business, focusing on ease of access, ease of editing, and security. The content features a single speaker providing guidance on making SOPs practical and maintainable.
So you've decided you want to create some standard operating procedures for your business, but you need to figure out where to put them. So here are three things to look for when assessing where you want to store your SOPs. Number one is ease of access. We want SOPs to be super convenient, as close as we can to where people are already working. That's where we want SOPs to go. The second criteria we want to consider is ease of editing. The days of old where sops would be dusty policy binders just sitting on the back desk that no one even knew existed. Those days are over. Small teams we cannot afford SOPs nobody uses. So if we want to be systemized, we need to make SOPs living, breathing documents that grow as our team does so. To do that, we need to make updating SOPs a cultural practice, a cultural value, and something that is so, so easy. The third thing we want to look for is security and backups. Really, we want all this convenience, but we also want to make sure our content is protected.
