You need to talk to someone with a stake in the problem.

When you have a problem, talking to someone neutral feels safe. But you actually need to talk to someone who has skin in the game, who cares about the outcome and can push back.

When you have a problem, talking to someone neutral feels safe. But you actually need to talk to someone who has skin in the game, who cares about the outcome and can push back.
Like, I talked to my hairdresser about this. I was like, how many people tell you things that they don't tell anybody else in your life? And she's like, all the time. I was like, right. They're admitting their problems to you. You, the hairdresser, you have no stake in the problem, and you have no stake in the solution. You will not be a participant in what's happening. But either intuitively or intentionally, they know I've got to say this out loud because I got to see it. Like, I got to hold the problem. But they're not saying it to somebody who's going to hold them accountable to actually fixing it. And I think that's a really important piece is you've got to say it out loud to somebody who cares.
