Your meal plan fails if it needs tons of cardio to work, doesn't adjust as your body changes, ignores your muscle-to-fat ratio and food tolerances, or has no plan to raise your metabolism after weight loss. Reverse dieting prevents the rebound.

Your meal plan sucks and it will not work if it has any of these issues. If you have to do cardio to lose weight, that means your meal plan isn't very good. Think about it. Your meal plan should be good enough to have you drop body fat without you actually putting in a ton of effort. If it's not, it's just not that good. Next, your meal plan will not work if it does not change. See, at different points in time, you have a different body. You might start off with more body fat, less muscle. Then you get to more muscle and less body fat. Well, those two bodies are going to react differently to carbohydrates. They're going to need more levels of protein, different levels of calories. Next, if your meal plan is not based off your individual body, how much muscle you have, how much fat you have, what your goals are, and more importantly, what foods you're intolerant to, or which carbohydrates are best for your body— if you don't know those things, we do that testing at Reset U Fitness. If you don't do that with your meal plan, you're probably not gonna get the results you want. Lastly, your meal plan will not work if you do not understand this concept that most dietitians won't tell you. As you lose weight, you will slow down your metabolism unless you use something to speed it up. See, as you're a bigger animal, you have a faster metabolism, you need more energy. When you get smaller, you need less energy. That means once you're at your goal, you have less metabolism than you started with. What we do at ResetU is what's called reverse dieting, where we boost that back up. Do that to maintain your fat loss. You don't have to worry about gaining the weight back.
