Four shoulder exercises to swing a racket pain-free: sleeper stretch for rotator-cuff flexibility, foam-roll snow angel to open the chest, foam-roll lat stretch to prevent internal rotation strain, and scapular retractions for stability. Do them regularly.

There are 4 critical ways to mobilize your shoulder joints so that you don't have issues hitting or throwing a ball. Number 1, the rotator cuff. I like to use the sleeper stretch. Do this 10 times each side and ensure that capsule flexibility. The next is a foam roll angel or foam roll snow angel. What you're doing here is you're opening up the chest and the shoulder blades. Shoulder blades like the foundation for your actual shoulder joint. Next is the foam roll lat stretch. Everybody misses this one for some reason, but if your lats aren't flexible, it rotates your thumb in and creates issues with your rotator cuff. And last but not least, scapular retractions. Again, your shoulder blades are the foundation for your shoulder. Do these and thank me later.
