Heavy bench pressing creates muscular imbalances that lead to shoulder injuries. This routine uses one resistance band for four moves: banded external rotation, 90-degree serratus press, handcuff star-taps, and a banded champagne motion. Do these daily to strengthen your rotator cuff and stabilizers.

Guys, I want to help you avoid shoulder surgery so you have to go through what I did. If you or your girlfriend have a band like this that is usually used to grow your booty, I can help you avoid shoulder surgery. If you're anything like me, most of your lifting was done straight bench pressing. This band is going to help us offset the muscular imbalance that you've created by having a huge chest and huge shoulders that can lead to injuries and surgeries later. Grab this band. And we're gonna do these 3 moves. First move you're gonna do is called a no monies or a banded external rotation. You're gonna go palms up, pull apart, squeeze those rotator cuff muscles and muscles in your back, and then bring 'em back. The whole point is to create stability. You wanna grow these muscles. The next move we're gonna do is work your serratus. So you're gonna open with a 90-degree angle on your arms and press up above your head, back and forth. This is working the muscles around your rib cage and helping your shoulder blades track correctly as you press. Next, we're going to do banded handcuffs. You can start on your knees and just tap out a star or move up to a plank position and tap out a star. Next, we're going to move to a banded champagne movement. This will help stabilize your back and your shoulder blades as you press and create the strength for your pressing movements, taking pressure off the shoulder joint. Do those 4 movements and you won't have to have surgery.
