The R3 Reset Method is a three-step protocol for cyclists over 30 to eliminate pain and train harder. It starts by resetting gut inflammation to reduce joint swelling, then addresses muscular imbalances with mobility and activation drills for tight quads, hip flexors, and other problem areas, and finishes by resetting recovery systems.

If you're in pain when you're riding your bike, you cannot train as hard as you want to. That's the most frustrating thing ever. We're going to use our R3 method to fix it. Most people over the age of 30 find out that they can't train as hard as they used to, and you start working around injuries. Our R3 reset method is focused on resetting you so you can train as hard as you want. Step 1, reset the gut inflammation so you can heal faster and your joints aren't inflamed and swollen. Step 2 is reset the muscular imbalances, and we find that With a simple broomstick squat test like so. And step 3 is reset recovery systems. We're going to go over the most basic things that I find with most cyclists that you can follow along with. The first thing we're going to do is mobilize tissues that are tight on most cyclists, like your quads and your hip flexors, because you're constantly in a shortened position. These get really, really bound up and tight. Next, we're going to flex and stretch our Achilles and our calves, which also get tight because you're locked in those clip-in pedals. Next, we're going to do open books and open up the T-spine and the chest. Next is activation of the tissues that don't get worked as much. Your glutes and your hamstrings don't get worked as much. So we're doing this Y reverse lunge, which works your glutes and hamstrings and opens up your chest. Lastly, we're working your core and your rear delts and shoulder stabilizer muscles because you're constantly hunched over that bike. Now, if you want your own assessment specific to you, go type R3 below and you'll get our R3 Reset Method workshop where we'll teach you everything that we know about resetting your body.
