Foam roll angels are a simple exercise to fix poor posture: lie back on a foam roller at your pelvis, rotate your torso side to side with palms up, 5-10 times per side. If your arms don't reach the ground, you have chest tightness or scapular winging. Do it daily.

Terrible posture is something we see in almost every single assessment we get at Refit Your Fitness. I'm going to show you this one move, how to set it up, how to do it, that can help you correct it. Welcome to the At Home Body Restoration Project, where we focus on resetting and restoring you back to your best self. The foam roll angel is best with a long foam roller. You're going to place it at the base of your pelvis and then fall back. Now, it doesn't matter if it's a short foam roller or a long foam roller, you're going to want your head cradled with the roller. Even if I have it way out here, I'm going to lay back slowly. If you had a small foam roller and it's still going to be the same concept, now you're going to go palms facing up and rotate within your happy range of motion. Let's say that the only place you can get is right here where you're pain-free. Then just stay right here and do this 5 to 10 times. If you can go all the way around, awesome. Do that 5 to 10 times. If your arms don't touch the ground, they lift up.. That's a clear indicator that your chest is really, really tight or your shoulder blade is winging. You wanna do this and use it as a self-assessment. We use it at, like, self-assessment at ResetU. But doing this daily can completely improve your posture.
