Glenn Dawson demonstrates three progressive split squat variations for building legs at home: bodyweight, goblet hold with one dumbbell, and dual dumbbells. He emphasizes knee-over-toe positioning and thigh-parallel depth, using a couch as a reference point to measure form consistently.

In this video, I'm going to show you the best exercise you can do for growing your legs at home. Welcome to the At Home Body Restoration Project, where we focus on resetting and restoring you back to your best self. First things first, we are going to start with how to measure out your split leg squat. This is a very difficult exercise. Do not do it if you're not ready. I'm going to show you 3 different versions. The easiest one is just doing it with air. First, measure out from your couch, from your hips to your ankle. Then you're going to stand up, take this back leg, swing it back, and you want to come down to where your thigh is parallel and your knee is right about the depth of your toes. So you're almost over your toes but not quite. And then thrust up. If you want to weight it and improve core stability, grab a dumbbell and put it in a goblet hold. That way you're weighting it and creating that core stability. And if you just want to load your glutes, Grab 2 dumbbells, get as much weight as you can, get real deep and push through that heel in the front foot.
