Care Connect[TechNova Hackathon: Best Accesibility Concept]

Care Connect is an accessible platform that helps organizations coordinate services and volunteers. The prototype includes searchable service listings with map view, volunteer profiles, and a PostgreSQL backend with endpoints to query services by type and program contact information.

Our hack is Care Connect. This is a quick summary of what we'll be presenting. These are some problems for organizations and this is some research from individuals and the non profit organizations. Our competitive advantages are a unique, accessible, sustainable and collaborating platform. Our site can improve demand forecasting, optimization and efficient communication. And funding streams can include public private grants, advertising. And our partners could be governments, nonprofits, institutions and youth led organization. So this is a quick overview of distribution channels which include B2B if we were able to distribute. This is a quick overview of our prototype. So we have the search results. Once you click that, you'll be able to see it on the map. As well as being able to add inquiries and seeing volunteer resources and guidelines for different organizations, the admins will also be able to add the different services and edit their current organization status. And this is also our hack. So you can see here that our test channel you can search and then just a service dropdown and after that you can also search basic things. So once you go on the search results we'll be able to or we were planning on adding different like call messaging or email icons and then the charity inquiry. So you could add your inquiries for the charities here and then the volunteers would also be able to sign in and add their own profiles and customize their information and that would help them to make the changes to the website for the different information that the organizations are planning on implementing. So yeah, that's a quick overview.
We used postgres SQL database to store the data for our project. And we have three tables. The first table is Program Contact, which stores all of the community programs that we're storing as well as their address information and their contact information. The third table is just a list of all the services offered across the eight community programs that we're looking at. And then the last table is is mapping each community program to the services that they offer. We created some GET requests to pull this information. So this first request over here just displays all of the eight services offered across all the community programs. Then we have another GET request that displays all of the community programs that offer a specific service. So in this case we're looking at Shelter. We can also look at justice and it'll display the justice, the programs that offer justice services. And the last GET request is just displaying the contact information for a specific community program.
