In this informal YouTube recording, a group of speakers create and perform a short tribute song for David, set to the melody of "If I Had a Hammer." The lyrics repeatedly celebrate David’s extensive work in home remodeling—buying houses, removing green moss, and handling repairs—along with his reputation as a dependable worker praised by a Sony representative. They also recount his high‑school sports involvement in volleyball and football in Minster, his passion for hunting and fishing (including successful outings with his son), his love of the outdoors, and his identity as a devoted Steelers fan and a great father. Throughout the conversation, speakers affirm David’s reliability, community contributions, and family values, expressing enthusiastic admiration.

Today we're gonna record our song for David. With all of the information you shared with me last week, we put his song to the tune of "If I Had a Hammer." Dad will read him.
You don't like that?
My son David has a hammer. He buys all the houses. He tears out the green moss all over this town. He has done so many houses, it's unbelievable. Whenever we have a house repair, David takes care of it. When he worked in our store, he got so good at it, he was a dependable The Sony rep was impressed. In high school he played volleyball. I taped the balls up with tape. He loves hunting and fishing and being outdoors. He's a big Steelers fan.
Good, good, good.
That's our song for David.
Yeah, yeah, it'll get him.
We managed to pack a lot of stuff into that one little short song about all the work he does on remodeling houses.
Yeah, right. Yeah, he's done— I mean, he's just lived with houses, and he's really been great with it. Yeah, and it pays off too. Definitely. Yeah.
And if you need anything done around here, you said that he comes and helps out?
Oh, he does. He's always done that ever since he's been alive. If, you know, if something fails here, whatever, Mary just has to call him, whatever, and he gets through with it, whatever. So he's really good. And when there is a problem, whatever, he comes over and he fixes it and goes back, whatever. He's really great. And of course, you know, yeah, you got all of—
and then you talked about he played football. Yeah, in Minster.
Yeah, but now actually when I look back, us far away.
Yes, long time ago.
Yeah, and he was so involved in so many other things, I don't think he really, really was enthused with it or whatever. No. Yeah, yeah, because it was a small town, small town, 3,000 population.
He loves to get out and do hunting and fishing.
That is big for him. Oh my God, unbelievable. In fact, I've gone out with him and his one son too, whatever, a lot of time fishing, all the time, whatever. But he's been fishing or deer, whatever, he is just incredible. He always comes home with them alive. It's really great, it's really great. And he's a great, great daddy.
Is he?
Yeah, he really got just a great crew, and his sons are honoring too, whatever. They're really all great kids. They were like— I shouldn't say kids, they're men. Yeah, it's really great.
Very nice.
It's just nice to see after all these years that you can say say all these things, whatever. And yeah, which is really neat.
It is nice to be able to say it.
It really is. Yeah, some of the things that he would do, like, you know, our store was in Minster, whatever, and Greg heard some music, whatever, that he knew that I would like also, whatever. Boy, he did it. I don't know how many we went through, whatever. It was really cool. And, uh, it was just
