Mark Tucker ditched endless Rightmove scrolling for Property Filter after leaving corporate work. He upgraded from a trial to yearly membership, drawn to the real-time alerts and granular postcode search. He came to a recent event to learn about assisted sales, short leases, and supported living as recession-proof strategies.

night scrolling on Rightmove, and it was something that I did all the time, every day. I've come all the way up from Bath, and we are new to the property journey side of things. Um, I've left a corporate career probably about 2 years ago. I went in there and I listened to him for about 20 minutes on Property Filter because I was really struggling to find properties, and he used the word night scrolling on Rightmove, and it was something that I did all the time, every day. From that, I got in contact with the company. I then decided to 2-week trial on it, and then it was down to whether I'd take it up or whether I wouldn't decide to sort of pay the monthly fee. I then decided I was going to pay the monthly fee, and then the yearly offer came up, and I thought, okay, I'm going to take the yearly offer. And as a result, I got invited up to, um, the head offices up in Birmingham, and then from then on, the rest is history. I love the fact that it's very transparent. I love the fact that you can search very specifically. I love the fact that you can close in your areas. I have used other platforms that are competitors of Propertyfilter, and they just haven't got that usability to increase postcodes and to just refine your search so finely makes it a huge benefit to me when, when searching properties. And just to know that when I go online, I can see on my, on the different sort of areas that I've chosen, I can see what new properties have come up. If they haven't come up, I can see with it very, very quickly if there's any new opportunities flying around. So yeah, I find it very useful. What about the community? I really like it. Yeah, it's got a very similar feel to, obviously different information, but it's got a very similar feel to Facebook and that sort of thing. And you can see where people are going, you introduction there. And I think it's going to be incredibly valuable because there's one thing that I have noticed about Property Fields, it does feel like you're becoming part of a bigger family and such. Everyone's here for the same goal. They want you to be successful and happy. And it is really nice to be able to get into that sort of mode of things. The company isn't thousands and thousands of members big, which maybe one day it will, and it probably will do if it carries on the way that it's going. And then it might lose that really personal feel. But I don't know, at the moment, it's an amazing sort of space to be a part of. The main motivation for me to come to this event was because of the title of it and the unique strategies and the fact that Hannif is going to be talking about 3 areas that I was very interested in: the assisted sales, short leases, and supported living. And they were the 3 things that I really wanted to focus on. And the fact that they are 3 areas that have got a bit of longevity in a market which is difficult to sort of negotiate, um, was one of the reasons why I came down here. To be honest, from what I've experienced from Property Filter before, it is very much what I expected. Um, I knew it would be very well organized. I knew there would be a lot of people. I knew that the talks were going to be great. I knew that it would be running on time and organized and friendly and happy. That's everything it was to. So I know you'd love me to come down and say that it is much better than I've ever expected, but I expected so much of you in the first place that it's exactly what I expected.
