INVISIBLE TO RIGHTMOVE. FOUND ON PROPERTY FILTER

A buyer found a property through Propertyfilter that wasn't on Rightmove, bid on it at a small auction house with a £220,000 guide price, and won it for £278,000. Limited visibility meant less competition than a mainstream listing would have drawn.

I wouldn't have found it if it wasn't for Propertyfilter because it's on with quite a small auction house. No, the guide price was £220,000 and I actually thought that it would possibly go for a lot more, but I managed to— I was successful at auction at £278,000, which was below my maximum bid. I wouldn't have picked this up in my Rightmove searches and I wasn't signed up to this auction house in particular, to their mailing list. Because it's quite a small auction house, it's possible that I got quite lucky and that there weren't a lot of people bidding on the property.
