A short YouTube monologue (by Guillaume Black) arguing that many aspiring property investors waste time using listing portals and obsessing over asking prices, which leads them to miss deals, become disheartened, and constantly chase new strategies or courses. The speaker criticises reliance on portals, random viewings based on photos/layouts, and treating asking price as meaningful.

So most people think property investing doesn't work for them because they are wasting their time scrolling through the portals, randomly booking viewings based on the pictures, the layout. They project their strategies on properties and vendors who are not interested in doing any deals with them. Secondly, they take into consideration the asking price, whilst really you should ignore it totally. They think that therefore that there are no deals out there, that nothing stacks and they become disheartened. They can't make this work and when it gets hard they are jumping from one strategy to another, chasing the silver bullet from one course to another. And really, they spend their entire life and career missing out on deals all the time.
