Guillaume Black argues that successful real estate investors make 10-20 offers per month, while most stay stuck by making too few. He treats investing as a numbers game: speak with motivated sellers, make offers, follow up. Analysis paralysis kills deals.

The number of offers you make is the single best predictor of your success in property. Low offer volume is the hidden reason why most people stay stuck in this game. Remember, it's a numbers game, and with all things being equal, if you speak with motivated sellers, you make proper offers, and you follow up on everything, this is how you win. So most investors will do less than 1, 2, or 3 offers a month and wonder why nothing happens. The top performers, the ones who do many deals, will do 10, 15, 20 offers a month, and they're in constant conversation with the market. Every offer is a seed planted. You don't know which one will grow. The more you plant seeds, the more you get to harvest. So don't overthink. View it offer on it, follow up on it, rinse and repeat. The investors stuck in analysis paralysis make zero offers and they get zero deals. The maths are pretty simple.
