For a few days. My friends at Audi on Demand loaned me an R8, making me feel like Iron Man. Audi on Demand is a new program that enables people in San Francisco and soon to be other places to rent audis ranging from A4s to R8s. You use an iPhone app to pick a car and schedule your days. There's a lead time of a mere two hours. A concierge from Audi on Demand delivers your car, gives you little training and picks it up when you're done. The cost of the reno includes insurance, fast track access, WI fi on some models, satellite radio and a tank of gas for some models. It also includes a bike rack or ski rack and baby seats. There's no daily mileage limit except for the high performance models which have a 200 miles per day limit before extra costs kick in. Valets love you when you drive a car like this. In fact, they tip you. Alas, all good things come to an end. All in all, a fantastic experience. My thanks to the Audi On Demand team. If you'd like to do this, go to audiondemand.com. Sam.
