Okay, I'm sitting in a Ford Fiesta.
Ford Fiesta.
And this is Julius from Ford Motor Company, and he's going to show me Twitter.
This is Twitter inside of a car. We're currently using the OpenBeak application, which is a Twitter client on a BlackBerry. And using my voice inside of the car, I can actually command the vehicle to read my Twitter timeline. So I'm going to go ahead and press the voice button, read timeline.
There are no messages.
I have no messages, which is. Which is great. But I'm going to go ahead and refresh everything.
Openbeat. Please say a command.
Refresh.
Refreshing messages.
So right now it's going out to Twitter and getting new messages for me. Given the data connections here at ces, it might take a bit of time, but we'll wait for it to happen and see what the luck is, and hopefully we'll come back and we'll see how many messages we've got in the timeline. And I'd love for the system to read you a tweet.
And theoretically, we're doing this as we're driving down the road.
There are 31 new replies and 20 new direct messages.
Okay, so right now I have 31 replies, 20 direct messages. I can go ahead and maybe listen to my replies.
OpenBeef. Please say a command.
Read replies.
Welcome back.
Could be embarrassing.
Could be. Could be embarrassing. But once you're inside your timeline, you can use the steering wheel controls to skip to the next tweet. So my first tweet was here. This is my next one.
Scott crosswrites. I can't DM you unless you follow me.
Of course. I'm a Twitter newbie, so I didn't know you can't DM anyone unless you. Unless you follow them. But of course, I can go ahead and ask for my timeline to be read.
OpenBeat. Please say a command.
Read timeline.
Engadjith writes, I have my W1 airplay wireless speaker. Hands on.
Okay.
Tweet includes a URL for Ming co.
So in gadgets, obviously, reading the airplay, which is a big. Which has been a big announcement today, but obviously I can kind of continue skipping through my tweets.
Well, thank you very much.
Razor's adjustable ONSA 300.
I guess I'll have to buy a fist.
You know what, guy? We'd love it if you got me on the wheel of a Fiesta.
Will this be available in a GT500?
You know what? We're working on the next available vehicles for applink, but obviously OpenBeak is available also. Pandora and Stitcher Internet radios will be available. Fully voice controlled steering wheel controls. It's a pretty cool product.
Thank you.
Thanks, guy.
