She was drop dead gorgeous. I mean, seriously, I could not get my eyes off of her, but not in a weird kind of way. You know, I was just obsessing over her. Okay, maybe that is a little weird. This woman dramatically changed the course of my life, and I don't even know what her name is. I'm gonna tell you all about the Chuck E. Cheese mom in today's episode of that mom show. Here's the big question. How are these average, everyday moms getting radical results in their lives? How are they able to transform their health, money, families, homes, and have fun doing it? The trick? We're not average. I'm Hannah Keeley, and I'm going to spill our secrets and answer your questions right now in that Mom Show. Hey there, it's Hannah Keeley. I'm America's number one mom coach, and I'm so excited to that you are here for the very first episode of that mom show. I'm so, so happy that we're finally getting this out there. Now, just from the get go, before I tell you about the Chuck E. Cheese mom, you're gonna love this story. Y' all gonna love it. If you've ever been down and out, I'm about to make you feel totally absolved from that and make you feel amazing. But before I tell you about the Chuck E. Cheese mom, first let's decide, is this the right podcast for you? Because there are a ton of mom podcasts and I totally get it now. What I hate to do, like, my biggest pet peeve is wasting time. I am a mom of seven. I'm running a business, a ministry. I'm doing volunteer work, like everything under the sun. So the last thing I like is wasted time. And I know that's the last thing you want in your life too. So let's go ahead and decide right now. Is this your kind of podcast? Because if you're the kind of mom who would rather listen to a podcast where you, you know, you sit around and you and you sip your wine and you complain and hashtag momprobs and the self deprecating and it's like a outlet for you that's totally cool, that's totally fine. There are a lot of podcasts like that, but this isn't going to be it. Now, if you also like something very polished, very formal, very succinct, maybe, you know, you can tell they're going by notes. This probably isn't your podcast either, because I'm a mom. And although I would love to do something like polished and perfect. That's just not me. Like, you're gonna hear episodes of me walking my dog in the car, outside, inside, cleaning up the kitchen. You know, the things that you and I are doing, right? We're doing life. We're not just talking about it. But if you want a podcast where we're doing life together and where I can share the stories that have taught me the biggest life lessons, and I can help you to avoid pain, and I can help you grow, and I can help you absolutely get results in your life, then this is your podcast. That mom show is where we're going to do life, and we're going to do it right, and we're going to learn how to live out the abundant life that God promised us he would deliver. So if we're designed to live an abundant life and we're not living it, let's figure out what is going wrong, and let's get it right. So you'll find that in this episode. Well, no, you'll find that in this entire podcast, but it's designed for you, for moms, because we're different. We do things different. We think differently. We talk differently. I've probably made at least, like, 20 errors already, but I'm not going to edit that out, because I want you to know me. I want to know you. I want us to do life together, and I want us, Shamalama Ding dong. To get results. So today, I want to tell you, like, where did it all start? Because a lot of people are like, how did you get here? Like, you're. You're doing all this stuff. You got a television show, you have a blog now I have a podcast, and you're America's number one mom coach, and you've got an online university. What? I'm telling you, it didn't just happen, y'. All. I had to go through some serious poop, okay, to get here. So I want to share that with you. But before I can do that, I need to talk with you about the Chuck E. Cheese mom, because I think you've probably had a Chuck E. Cheese mom. I had my Chuck E. Cheese mom, and I'm going to tell you about her. See, this happened long before I even had kids. Like, we were engaged. Blair and I were engaged to be married, and we were going out on a date, and for some crazy reason, we went to Chuck E. Cheese. Like, I know that doesn't make any sense. That's bizarre. Like, why would any couple, not even married, definitely no kids, go to Chuck E. Cheese by choice. It doesn't make sense. But we went to Chuck E. Cheese, and I guess we were gonna go play skeeball, you know, or just eat pizza. But we were there in the booth eating pizza, and I remember there's, you know, the whole Chuck E. Cheese band, and with eyeballs falling out, they look like they're about to fall down and have a seizure or something. And. And all of a sudden, I saw this woman walk in. And. Oh, my gosh, it was like, if. You know how, like, in. In movies sometimes it'll look like they're zooming into something, but the background, like, fades out. You know, it's this weird effect that the camera has. Okay, imagine that zooming in on my face as I'm taking a bite of pizza. And I watch this woman walk in. She was everything, y'. All. This was when, like, Friends was popular and the whole Jennifer Aniston hairdo, and she had the Jennifer cut, and she was so cute, and she had perfect highlights, and she didn't have, like, a frumpy diaper bag. She had, like, this cute designer bag. And she was dressed, like, head to toe gorgeous. She had three beautiful, brilliant blonde children with her. And even all of them were dressed beautiful. And. And I just could not take my eyes off of her. You know, she just, like, had this magnetic air or something about her. I couldn't take my eyes off her. So she went and sat down, and I was still, like, Blair was talking to me, but I'm doing the kind of like, huh? Yeah, yeah. Pretending I'm listening, but I'm actually, like, obsessing over this woman, right? I couldn't get my eyes off her. Because here's the thing. She not only looked like she had her act together, but you know what she was doing? She was having fun with her kids. Like, she was playing with them and laughing with them, and. And they were enjoying their time with their mom. And I'm like, oh, my go. That's me. Like, that's what I'm gonna be. All of a sudden, I saw my entire life wrapped up, and I was like, yes, that is what I want in life. Okay. God, yes, I'll take it. And that was my goal. Now let's fast forward. Let's fast forward about four or five years. We were. We got married. We had about three kids at the time. And, yeah, we had them quick, you know? Like, I was pregnant at our first anniversary, so we had a few kids. And my life was such. Such a far cry from the Chuck E. Cheese mom. Like, I was overweight out of shape. I was struggling with depression, anxiety. We didn't have two pennies to rub together. We were like, broke as a joke. Like so broke that our electricity was getting turned off and I couldn't feed the kids and we were having insufficient funds notice and all of our credit cards were maxed out and I had borrowed from every single person I could think of to borrow from. It was so bad. And it was this one day, like I was carrying laundry through my cluttered house. I went in my bedroom and was ready to like dump the load on top of the seven other loads that were already there on top of my unmade bed. And. And I just caught a glimpse of myself and I looked so old and tired and exhausted. And right then I just fell on the ground, like right on top of the laundry. It didn't even make it to the bed. I just dumped on the floor. I fell into the laundry and I just started sobbing, like, ugly cry, you know, where you can't tell like what's tears and what's not and it's just all getting mixed up. And I was like sobbing so crushed at the life that I was living. I knew it was the life that God designed for me to live. I was exhausted all the time. I was angry, I was depressed, I was anxious, I was worried, I was broke. I was out of shame. Like, if you could name the problem, I pretty much had it. I didn't know it at the time, but I was like, textbook case of Mom Fatigue syndrome. And by the way, if you don't know, know what Mom Fatigue syndrome is or if you don't know if you have it or not, there's an easy quiz you can take. It's on my website, hannake.com please. I don't want you to live another day like that. Just go get the quiz so you know if you have it and you know what to do to get out of it. But at this time I was just like, full on. I didn't even know I had mom Fatigue syndrome. I was just like, my life is a wreck. Hey mama. We'll get right back to the podcast, but did you know there is an entire online university just for moms? If you're ready to get radical results in your life, just go to mommastery.com, that's M O M M A S T-E-R-Y dot com. Make sure you check it out and take your free quiz again. That's mommastery.com M-O-M-M-A-S-T-E-R-Y.com now back to the podcast. So I was sobbing there and sobbing and basically waiting for someone to save me, like, to get a bonus check that would get me out of debt or, like, win the lottery or have someone come in and clean up my house for me, or someone to come in and, like, somehow do a budget for me or make me exercise or prepare food for me. Just something. I felt like I needed help so badly. And I heard the voice of God, and he said, get up, fold up your laundry. Basically, like, you know, get up, fold up your bed, and walk. Like he was. He was saying, you know, I've already done everything you need. You just need to know how to step into it. And that one thing. When I heard him say, get up, I picked up a sock. It was a clean sock. It was my husband's sock out of the laundry. And I wiped my face with that clean sock. Don't worry, I didn't put it back in the clean pile. And I got up and I did something that really dramatically changed my life. And it started and kind of this snowball effect, but I did this crazy thing. I folded the laundry. I know, crazy, right? I folded the laundry. That was all I needed to do that one step. And that led to another step and another step. And it's a. It was a long process of a lot of trial, a lot of error. I tried things that, you know, personal development that wasn't really working for me. I didn't realize it at the time, but I was. The things I was trying to do, it worked for other people, but it was really hard for it to work for me because I'm a mom, and our brains are just wired differently. And some diets and workouts and decluttering and budgets, things that seem to work for other people for some reason, they don't work for us. Again, go to my website and I'll give you more information about it. And I'll definitely be talking about it in this podcast, but we're just wired differently. I. I finally figured out something that would work for me, and I started making radical changes. And I discovered what's called today the Mom Mastery Method. And I started applying that. I started getting out of debt. I started exercising every day. I started decluttering like, it was crazy, because I was changing. Instead of, like, trying to do things from the outside in, I was trying. I was changing, not even trying. I was changing from the inside out. And that's what started creating such radical results. So fast forward Another six or seven years. And I had seven kids at the time. Yeah. Like I said, we didn't waste any time. And we were at Chuck E. Cheese. The whole family was there. And it was legitimate this time. Okay. There was, like, you know, kids in the mix, so I'm validated. We went to Chuck E. Cheese. And I remember being in there, and we were playing together and. And hanging out and, you know, having a little birthday party and just enjoying ourselves as a family. And this mom came up to me, and it's kind of hard for me to even talk about this, but she tapped me on the shoulder, and I turned around and she said, I'm sorry, but I can't get my eyes off of you. And I was like, what? Excuse me? And she said, you just seem to be having such a good time with your kids, and I want whatever you got. And I can't believe I thought I'd be okay. I thought I'd be okay. That story, still, as often as I tell it, it shakes me to the core because I. It was one of those time when times when God gives you a glimpse and you don't even realize the progress that you've made because you're just doing it every day until someone taps you on the shoulder and you turn around, and it's like God gives you a picture of how far you've come. And it was one of those moments. And the woman, probably to this day, she thinks I'm crazy. But, you know, I just started crying and I hugged her, and I was like, you have no idea what that means to me. Because there was a time when I was so overwhelmed and so exhausted, and I felt like I didn't have any hope. So what I want you to know is that if you've ever struggled as a mom, you're definitely not alone. We've all had our moments. But I also want you to know that there is so much hope that God did not design you to live a life where you just have to get by, where you just have to make it through to the end of the day where it has to be a struggle. He came to break that yoke of strife and struggle and toil and stress. And he came so that you could have life and abundance to the full till it overflows, just like John 10:10 tells us. And I want you to know that that life is possible. I don't care how bad it is. It can get better. I promise you. And I don't care how good it is, it can still get better. Because God never stops bestowing blessings on his kids. So if you're ready to totally rock your life and if you're ready to get some inside tips, some strategies, some secret methods that I discovered that are getting radical, like crazy results in the lives of moms, then I want you to keep tuning into this podcast because I promise you, you're going to get results.
