Hannah Keeley argues the modern church prioritizes feelings over truth, allowing what she calls the Jezebel spirit to spread through emotionalism and spiritual adultery. She offers five antidotes: seeking biblical truth, practicing gratitude, embracing repentance, avoiding idolatrous agreements, and letting God search the heart.

Hey, welcome back to Mom Master University. We are talking about the Jezebel spirit, and this is actually part two. Now, if you haven't watched part one, don't go anywhere. Just stick around, because maybe God has you here. Because what we're going to talk about, you need to know today. So buckle up, baby. Get ready for this, because we go deep. Welcome to Mom Mastery University, the education every mom should have had, but mom didn't. I'm Hannah Keeley, America's number one mom coach, and class is now in session. All right, welcome back to Mom Master University. Of course, I'm Hannah Keeley, your coach throughout this entire series. And we're talking about that Jezebel spirit. Now, part one, we talked about what that Jezebel spirit is. We talked a little bit about who she was, what she did, how she operates and how she's operating to get you to commit idolatry and witchcraft. Ouch. If you did not tune in to part one, you may want to do that. But don't go anywhere right now, because maybe God has you here for a reason. And what you need to know today, you need to know today. So let's go into this Part two, seduction today. So this isn't just something that happened, you know, ages and ages ago with King Ahab and Elijah. This happens every single day. And it's actually happening a lot in the church. So I want to show you this. I'm not coming against the church. I love the church. I love the church. The church is the body of Christ. And this body of Christ, the bride of Christ, needs to be fitted for the battle that she is facing right now in our cultural times. So we gotta. We gotta get this right, guys. We're gonna dial in. We're gonna get this right. So I want to share with you something, because this came from revelation, okay? Revelation 2. Now this. This is something that John had a problem with the church because it's like you're tolerating the spirit of Jezebel. Now, what does that look like? It said. This is what it says. I have this against you now, talking to the church that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, claiming to be inspired and who is teaching and leading astray my servants and beguiling them into practicing sexual vice and eating food sacrificed to idols. And it says, take note. I will throw her on her on a bed of anguish. And those who commit adultery with her, her paramours, I will bring down depressing distress and severe affliction unless they turn Away their minds from conduct such as hers and repent of their doings. And this is verse 23. And I will strike her children, her proper followers, dead through exterminating them. And all the assemblies, the churches shall recognize and understand that I am he who searches minds, the thoughts, feelings and purposes, and the inmost hearts. And I will give to each of you the reward for what you've done as a work deserves. Now, let's dive into this because this is a warning to the church. Now, if you think it's just to that building on the corner with the cross on the front lawn and no, we are the church. I want you to tap yourself on the chest right now. I am the church. I am the body of Christ. We don't go to church and, and spend time with God. God dwells in us because we are his temple. We. We house the spirit of God, so we are the church. The buildings with the cross on the front lawn, they're places where we gather and we talk and we share things and we work together and we have goals and we have community. But that's not the church. The church is the people. And I love the church. So we need to have. We need to have our. Our people fitted for the battle at hand. Unfortunately, the church, a lot of people are very weak and knowing the word and knowing how to work the word and knowing how to stand in faith. So we. We have a duty of getting this word out there. So we're going to talk about this warning to the church about that Jezebel Spirit and what that looks like. So first of all, he calls Jezebel a woman who claims to be a prophetess, claiming to be inspired, who is teaching and leading astray my servants. That came from verse 21. So here's one problem with people today. When I say the church again, I'm not talking about the building or the institution. I'm talking about the people. Is that often the church wants feelings, not truth. The church wants feelings, not truth. We want to feel God. We want to feel the, the God bumps, you know, the, the. We want to hear the. The prophets talk about us. And we want to hear the, like, the little, the little sayings that resonate with us and make us feel. Feel good. We want the feeling. But God is not about wanting the feeling. God wants us to know the truth that gives birth to the feeling. Now, if you studied anything about neurobiblical transformation. Excuse me, what we do in Covenant Coach Academy, Neurobiblical transformation, we all go. We go to the Belief. What belief do I hold? How does this belief make me feel? What does this feeling in me cause me to do? And then what about what I'm doing is getting me these results? So that's how, like all of the coaching that I do here and that, you know, any of our Covenant coaches do is based on that neurobiblical transformation. And what that looks like is instead of wanting a feeling, we need to know the truth that results in a feeling. Now this is something that we can be lazy with. And if you notice, in part one, we talked about how the Jezebel spirit always tries to get us isolated before it starts that six step, six step process of creating idolatry and witchcraft in our life. And if, if we can become isolated, if we isolate ourselves, then it's more tempting to want the feeling of God because we lose traction in the truth. We have to stay plugged in, stay plugged into Mom, Master University, stay plugged in with other believers, stay plugged into good Bible teaching. So you can know the Word because the Word is what makes you free. The Word is what gives you peace. The Word is what actually goes to work in your life. And people in the church are dying for not knowing the Word. We need to be more, hear the Word and also do the Word as well. But if, if we get out of the Word, then all we really have left is emotion. So we start to seek after emotion. So understand this, this warning to the church, to me and you, to the people of, you know, to, to God's people, is don't seek after feelings, seek after truth. Dig into my Word, you'll get the feelings. The feelings come, but they're not why we do this. They're not the reason we do this. We have to seek the Word and know truth. And truth is what makes us free. And that is what is found in the Word. So that is the first thing. The second thing is this. That's number one. The church wants feelings, not truth. The second thing is we commit sacrilege. Now we have such a tendency to do that as believers. And what is sacrilege? It's, it's taking what is sacred and using it as something that is basic. What happens is we're not happy with what we have, so we take what we want. And so it's not a problem with desire, it's a problem with gratitude. So if you think about it like the reason we, you know, it said, it said, you're committing sexual vice and eating food, sacrifice to idols. So think about sexual vice. I Don't want what's mine. I want that something that is. Is. It's a defiant act. I want what I can't have. I don't want what I can have. In this covenant, the sacred covenant of marriage. I want that what I can have. The same thing with eating food, sacrifice idols. I don't want this, that I have access to, that God has given me, that is sacred and beautiful. I want that. That I can't have. So if you notice that the root of sacrilege, at the root of taking what is not ours or what is sacred and meant for God, at the root of this is discontent. We're not happy with what we have, so we take what we want. So when we experience discontent, what is the antidote for that? The antidote is gratitude. It's not a problem with I desire that food or I desire that. That. That person, you know, having sex with that person. I. I'm lusting. It's not. It's not the problem with lust. It's a problem with the root of lust. And the root of lust is discontent. Lack of gratitude. So how do we come against this? How do we combat this is we express gratitude. We camp out in gratitude. I want you to think about it. So, number one, we're going to seek truth. Number two, we're going to express gratitude. What can you be grateful for? As many things as you want as you feel you can't have that you desire. And, oh, life would be great as soon as I have xyz, I guarantee you there's A, B, C, D, E, F, G over here in your life that you can already be grateful for. So what can you express gratitude for? Now, now, let's move on. 21, verse 21, it says, I gave her time to repent, but she has no desire to repent of her immorality and refuses to do so. So, number three, the church has an unrepentant spirit. And this is me and you. So what are the things in your life where you're like, I'm not gonna turn from this. I'm not going to humble myself and admit that this wasn't a good choice or that I did wrong. Remember that? Pride. According to Proverbs, pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit goes before a great fall. That haughty spirit, what that haughty spirit is, is unrepentance. I won't admit when I'm wrong. I'm stubborn, I'm defiant. I won't admit it. And that unrepentant Spirit, God will always forgive and he will always bring us out of a pit, and he will always work with us, no matter how far gone it looks. He's right to work with us as long as we're repentant. If we're not repentant, there's no revival. There's no transformation. There's no miracles, signs, wonders. There's none of that if we remain unrepentant. So think about the things in your life where you're like, I don't even want to admit that I was wrong, that I was stubborn, and I don't want to practice humility. I want to be right. And you might think, oh, there's nothing, Hannah, what about when you played the silent game the other day when you were mad at your husband? The root of the silent. You know, the silent game, like, oh, I'm just not going to talk to you. The root of that is an unrepentant spirit. So where is this unrepentant spirit in your life? And how. What's the antidote for that repentance? The antidote for that is God, I confess this. I am sorry. I turned from it. God, I turn from it and I just. I thank you for your grace. I thank you for your compassion. I thank you for your love, because he does love you so much. Now, let's take that and let's move on to verse 22, where it says, take note. I will throw her on a bed of anguish. And those who commit adultery with her, her paramours will bring down to pressing distress and severe affliction unless they turn away their minds from conduct such as hers and repent. There's that repentance again of their doings. So understand this. This is number four, and it's. The church is committing idolatry. And that's me and you. What is idolatry? It is making an agreement outside of the covenant. You already have. We talked about that in part one. See, we have a covenant right now, and that marriage is a covenant. We are the bride of Christ. We have a marriage covenant. God is our source. Now, anything that we make, our source. That is not God. That is idolatry. And idolatry is. That's committing adultery. We are moving out of the covenant. Think about Marriage is a covenant. Having sex outside of marriage is adultery. So how is the Church committing adultery and committing idolatry? Because it is getting into agreements. And that's what adultery is. It is a sexual agreement that is outside of the sexual. The covenant agreement. So we are Getting into agreements and joining in a. In. In forces, joining energy and forces with a source that is not God. That's what he means here with adultery. So this is. We have to understand this. This is so important. We got to get this right. We have to have full knowledge of what we're doing. And it's not just this benign. I'm just going to, like, work really hard and make enough money, and that's going to take care of everything, or I'm just going to, like, find the right relationship and that's going to take care of everything or I'm going to be fine as. As soon as I get a new job. You have made something else other than God your source for peace, for joy, for freedom. And that is committing adultery in a spiritual sense is committing adultery. Now that goes back to repentance, right? We need revival. We need revival in this church, but revival comes after repentance. So how do we prevent that? We get full awareness of what is going on in our life, full awareness of where we are making agreements, and we repent from that and move back into that covenant. Now we're going to end with 23. I will strike her children, her proper followers dead through exterminating them. And all the assemblies, the churches shall recognize and understand that I am he who searches minds, the thoughts, feelings and purposes in the inmost hearts. And I will give to each of you the reward for what you've done as your work deserves. Now this is number five, is God is always searching our mind. God doesn't look at our behavior. He looks at the belief that drives that behavior. He doesn't look at us physically. He looks at us spiritually. It says in the Bible that. That God does not look at man the way man looks at man. God looks at man by looking at his heart. So God is judging your heart. It says he searches your mind, your thoughts, your feelings, your purposes, and your inmost. In your inmost heart. So what does that mean? Your mind, your thoughts and feelings and purposes. That's your conscious mind, your inmost heart, that's your subconscious mind. So this is why it's so important to keep getting plugged in, keep getting the coaching, keep tuning in. Because it's not just working with your mind, it's working with your subconscious, your heart, your core beliefs. And a lot of these core beliefs are what keep us in isolation. And as soon as we get in isolation, you know, that's right where the enemy wants you. That's right where the spirit of Jezebel can attack you. In that place of isolation and create fear so that you now join with her and now you're idol worshiping. So we have to understand how does this. It doesn't just sneak up. It does sneak up on you, but it does just like strike you out of the blue. And all of a sudden, wow, today I caught myself committing spiritual adultery. I caught myself idol worshiping. I saw. I caught myself committing witchcraft. No, it doesn't happen like that. It happens so slowly, so seamlessly, so benign that you don't even realize it's a problem until you're caught up in it and you're caught up in that pain as a result of committing idolatry. So we have to understand if. If God can search our mind and God can search our. Our inmost heart, our conscious and our subconscious, then he can also give us insight into how that needs to shift. So today, one of the most powerful things you can do is to say, God, search my heart. See if there's any wicked way in me and lead me to the path everlasting. I promise you, God is right there with you. He loves you. He is not judging you. And he wants to work with you to lead you into a place where he is your source, where he is. He is your constant help in time of need, where he is everything that you need to have joy, peace, prosperity, abundance and freedom in this world. And that's not so far away. It's just as far away as turning, repenting, and letting God search your heart. You can do that. Now. This is what it looks like today. Now we're going to talk about what some of the toxic fruit is as a result of getting into agreement with that spirit of Jezebel in part three and four. And you don't want to miss it.
