Jezebel: Part 4 - Poison Fruits, Part B
22 Nov 2024 · 19 min
In this fourth episode of the "Spirit of Jezebel" series, Hannah Keeley teaches mothers how the biblical spirit of Jezebel can corrupt the fruit of the Spirit. She reviews four specific fruits—goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self‑control—showing how each is twisted when a person is in agreement with Jezebel: goodness becomes self‑inflated greatness; faithfulness becomes a fierce, orphan‑like independence; gentleness becomes stubbornness; and self‑control becomes a controlling attitude toward others. Keeley explains why the spirit operates by targeting the isolated and insecure, how it leads to idolatry and sorcery, and why repentance, a reclaimed identity in God, and humility are the antidotes. She urges listeners to enroll in Mom Mastery University for deeper study, use the provided workbook, and commit to plugging back into God’s source for freedom, joy, and abundance.

Hey there. Welcome to Mom Master University. I'm Hannah Keeley and we are going deeper into the spirit of Jezebel. We are discovering so many crazy things in this series. Now, if this is your first time here, this is part four. Go ahead and hang around, but make sure you go back and watch or listen to part one, two and three, because this spirit of Jezebel, it is real. It is press. If you don't know about it, then you could be suffering because of it. So tune in because we're about to discover so much. Welcome to Mom Mastery University. The education every mom should have had, but mom didn't. I'm Hannah Keeley, America's number one mom coach. And class is now in session. All right, welcome back. I'm Hannah Keel. Keely. I'm your coach. And we are in part four of the Spirit of Jezebel. Yeah, we're getting kind of, kind of little deep and dark in this series right now. I know this is, you know, not our usual topic that we talk about, but it's so important because I see so many moms today that have stress and pain and confusion and overwhelm in their life unnecessarily because, because they've chosen to get into agreement with the spirit of Jezebel. And here's the truth. If you don't recognize it, you don't even think you're doing anything wrong. You. You don't even acknowledge that, that you could be walking down a path that is treacherous. Have no idea. So again, if you, this is your first time, make sure you go back and listen or watch part one, two and three. Because it's so important that we say sever from the spirit of Jezebel if it's working through us or if it's working through other people in our lives and start to operate in a place of, of, you know, just walking in that path of life. Right? So we talked about the fruit of the spirit. I started talking about that in part three, about what it looks like when it is toxic and twisted because it has come out of an agreement with Jezebel, the spirit of Jezebel. So we're moving into. We already talked about love, joy, peace, patience, kindness. And now we're going to talk and wrap up in this session here about goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. So let's look at this. Number six is goodness. Now, goodness is the state of being filled with good. You want good. You want to do good to others. You want to do leave a place better than you found it. You just are characterized by good, good, what they do is good. I'm sure you know people like that in your life. You, you're probably, if you've been in Mom Mastery University for a while, you're probably that kind of person where they're just characterized by they, they're just good, good people. Right now the twisted fruit of goodness is greatness. Now what greatness looks like is the self bloated feeling of importance. I am great. So instead of being good, I have this mentality that I'm so great. Now remember love. If we talk about love, it always considers other people before considering themselves. Now greatness is like, look at me, I'm all that. It can even look like a spiritual greatness. Look at how holy I am. Look at how, look at how righteous I am. Look at how much I give. Look at how I help other people. Look at what I did. I volunteered at the food bank and look at how I'm teaching my children every day. And it can even look like this spiritual greatness. But it's still bloating. Your self image around your work, your behavior, what you do. God is looking at your heart. What you do comes out of what's in your heart. So if in your heart it's, I am insecure and I have to do everything to make myself feel better and bloat myself up to this level of greatness and well, the core belief is still out of alignment with God's best for you. So we have to understand this. Greatness is like goodness. Goodness is others. Right? Greatness is goodness imploded. Now it's me. Goodness gives, greatness takes. So we have to really take a good look at how that, that sense of self has become so distorted now. Why does it become so distorted when you're coming into agreement with the Spirit of Jezebel? Because think about it. We know how the Spirit operates. The Spirit operates by seeking those who are isolated or weak. And often she creates. The Spirit creates weakness in you. So she seeks after those who are weak or isolated plants, creates a situation that can cause them to, to react to it. Start to imagine things that are out of God's will. Start to get fear, start to get panic, start to speak things into existence. And now you've committed treason, which is I'm going to unplug from my source, which is God, and I'm going to plug into another source, which is, which is mammon, which is the source of everything that you want to feel in life. It could be your marriage, it could be your Kids, it could be your money, it could be your job, your identity, your church, whatever. It's that source that will give you what you want. Now think about the root of all of this is selfishness. I need to feel safe, I need to feel connected, I need to feel enough. That is all self centered. So that's why instead of goodness, which is, which is loving outwardly, it's greatness, which isn't even loving inwardly, it's inflating your concept of self. And it often comes from extreme insecurity. I need to feel enough, I need to feel loved, I need to feel safe. It's all you, it's all me, it's all self focused. So that's why if we can. And it's often like, I'm not, it doesn't look like arrogance all the time. It actually looks like insecurity that shows up as, look at me, I'm so great because I'm doing these things. I'm proving to myself that I have value and I have worth. But, but what's the antidote for this? Well, the antidote is finding our worth. Who we are, not what we do. Who we are, not what we do. So when we get really clear on our identity as a child of the most high God, as the beloved, as the head, not the tail top and not the bottom, as his righteousness, all of a sudden it becomes more focused on the presence of God in us rather than focused on us. Do you see that? Do you see the switch there? So now we become even more great because we're so fully aware of the presence of God that abides in us. Not what we do to prove it, but who we are because of who's in us becomes so much more powerful. Now that's goodness. Let's move on to faithfulness. Now we know what faithfulness is. Faithfulness. It says in Hebrews that faithfulness is the evidence of things hoped for, the substance of things not seen. So faithfulness is believing, having more belief in the world that you can't see than the world that you do see. It's more belief in the Word than the world. It's more belief in God than the his truth over you than what you're seeing as facts in your life. So that's what faith is. So when we distort this faith, what does it look like? It looks like independence. I'm not just talking about, yeah, I can do this, Yay. No, I'm talking about a fierce independence that often is referred to as the an orphan spirit. It's that spirit that's like, you know what if it's going to be, it's up to me. And it becomes work and it becomes hard and it becomes pressure. And remember the blessing of the Lord. The blessing of the Lord creates wealth and adds no toil to it. When we start to add toil to the recipe and effort and frustration at the root of that is this fierce orphan spirit that I can't depend on anyone and I can't depend on God. Now if you've seen this in your life, I want you to go back and I want you to watch the Seven Princess Wounds. Because a lot of times when we have learned that we can't trust as a child, maybe somebody let us down, maybe parents or a caretaker or you know, someone just really disappointed us and let us down. And we learned early not to trust. That can show up in our adult life as this orphan spirit that I can't depend on anyone. The only one I can depend on is me. So I have to make it happen. So that is the opposite of faithfulness is that independence that says I can't operate with my belief, I have to operate with my behavior. So faith will always lead to God inspired work always. But fear will lead to self driven work always. So we have to come become really clear. Am I trying to prove myself? Am I really trusting God? Am I operating in faith or fear? Like these are the questions that we have to ask ourselves so we can know what spirit we're operating under. The spirit of God that's alive in us or this or a spirit of Jezebel that is causing us to unplug from our source and commit to commit idolatry. So as soon as we're aware of that and we ask ourselves these questions, if we can see that there's a lack of trust in us and it's turned out to be this fierce orphan spirit, how do we handle that? Well, remember what we've gone back to over and over through the series is repentance. The spirit of Jezebel is unrepentant. It doesn't want to admit their is wrong. I use this logic, this is right, this is how it should be. And that that inflexible, unrepentant spirit starts to really monopolize your mind. So what it looks like is I'm going to turn from this and I'm going to practice humility and God loves me even if I have a hard time trusting Him. Now that's the truth that I want you to really, you may have to pause and just meditate on that for a little bit. God loves me, even if I have a hard time trusting him. He can work with that. As long as you're repentant, you understand God. I'm having a hard time trusting you. This is real. Instead of just ignoring it, just humbling yourself to recognize it. And God will work with you when you can just approach him and say, this is just the real deal. He has so much mercy and grace. But this kind of ties in with that next fruit of the Spirit, which is gentleness. Gentleness. So the opposite of gentleness is stubbornness. Gentleness is as a softened spirit that can hear that still, small voice of God and can start to yield to it. Stubbornness is, I don't hear you. I don't hear you. And I think about it. When Jezebel threatened Elijah, he first he became suicidal. He went to the wilderness. He wanted to be alone, which, of course, they're perfect prey for Jezebel, right? Isolated and weak. So the spirit of God shows up and says, look, you can't continue like this. You need to eat, take a nap. He woke up and he told him again, you know, still. Still not enough. You can't continue this journey. You need to eat some more, take a nap. But that next day, he heard, you know, he heard the wind and he heard the fire and the. And the storm and the. And the avalanche. All these things happening. But what did Elijah respond to that still small voice? That was the moment. That was the moment when he turned from stubbornness and softened his heart. And sometimes God will always only speak to us with that still, small voice. Now, if we're not operating in gentleness, we can't hear it and we can't yield to it. So it's important that we understand what that sounds like. And we can't understand what that still small voice sounds like. We can't even hear that still small voice. If the voices of I'm right, this is how it must be. I gotta make this happen. Are so loud in our heads. So we have to quiet those voices, learn to yield and listen to God. Now, the last thing number nine is self control. Self control, controlling yourself. This is one of the fruits of the spirit, learning how to control yourself. We don't always say everything we want to say. We don't always do everything we want to do right? We have this filtering system, hopefully, where we learn to control ourselves and do what we believe is the right thing to do. Now, what does this look like it now? The opposite. The toxic Fruit that results is not lack of self control. What actually it turns to look like, it starts to look like when you're in agreement with the spirit of Jezebel is people control. So instead of controlling self, I'm now going to attempt to control people. Think about it. Because love always allows freedom. When we're not operating in love, we're not giving freedom. And what that looks like is I can't let people be people. I can't let them do this. I can't let them believe this. I can't let them stay in this place. I can't let them continue with this behavior. They need to know they're wrong. They need to know they're doing this. They need to correct themselves. They should. They should. They should. All of this comes from a place where we feel threatened because we're not operating in love. And trying to control people is. Now I'm going to say it, it's going to be harsh. But trying to control people is kicking God off the off the throne and trying to be God. God loves us so much that he has given us freedom and to be the moral agents over our lives, even to the point where we can reject his love. So what would this look like for you? What would this look like for you to love people enough to give them freedom to do what they feel they need to do, to say what they need to say, to believe what they need to believe, and that's okay. What if no one had to change for you to be happy? What if you could stay in that love of God and love them where they are and believe the very best for them, even if they're in a place that's not maybe wise, you can still love them and believe that God can do what only God can do. And you're just going to support them. Because we always think that we can't give people freedom because what if they do something or they have done something that upsets us? So what? You're stronger than that. You're more competent than that. When your foundation is not God, your whole world becomes this urgent pursuit of controlling people and controlling your circumstances. And that is toil and that is pain and that is frustration. And you have come into agreement with the spirit of Jezebel over your life. You are committing idolatry and committing witchcraft because you are trying to control. Remember, you plug from one source and plug into another source. You know what that's called? Sorcery. That's why it's called sorcery, because you have made an idol, your source. That's witchcraft. And yes, that those are some big scary words. But it's really big and scary when you're operating with these kind of beliefs subconsciously and you think you're okay, and all of a sudden you're in a place where there's real pain in your life, but God is always there waiting for you to repent. Say, God, this is just where I am right now. But I recognize that I humble myself and I come to you right now. God, have your way with me. I want to yield to your way. I want to plug back into you, God, I want to trust you. I want to take your word, and I want it to go to work in my life. Now, guess what? Life becomes so bigger, so much more freedom, so much more joy when you unplug from that spirit of Jezebel and plug back into the spirit of God.
